@Teila Audrey and Pinkie are beautiful. Sure hope Pinkie makes it. We have big native tree ferns in our backyard. I love them. Glad yours is thriving in its new home.

Babies are so cute!Good Evening Friendsand congratulations to those sporting new ‘Project Manager’ banners; they are very eye catching and impressive
Posting in the evening for a change. Mainly because I was keen to get outside this morning on such a beautiful day and I had a lot planned.
I will skip past the boring stuff like washing and grocery shopping, after which I mowed the lawns which I do not mind so much and then the fun stuff started.
First was to pop around to my favourite plant person in town and pick up Audrey and friends.
Then home to move the compost bin from under the house to the back corner of the garden because the compost bin was 1. In the wrong place and 2. Where I wanted to put Audrey. [I have no idea why hubby thought under the house would be a good place to put a compost bin]. PS. The compost bin was full so while I nonchalantly typed "move the compost bin" like it is easy .. it most definitely was not and
Cleaned up Audrey’s area and potted her. Please excuse the dirty pond in the background, it rained after we started setting it up and of course, it is not ready yet:

Then potted the purple elephant ear [which I had ordered] and a bonus [smaller black pot] which my plant dude gave me because I would not let him give me change from the $20 I gave him. As ‘Pinkie’ was not planned, I did not have a big pot and she will have to live in this one for now. Also, as she was literally dug out of the ground and handed to me while I was there, not sure how she will do. Luckily, it is only a 5min drive home and we potted her ASAP; hence not the best pot:

[In case anyone is curious, those are empty peanut shells which I use for mulch. I do not, however, eat all the peanuts; our local hardware sells them in bags. Cheap and effective.
Just sharing some pictures of underneath the house which I have been chipping away at .. getting rid of all the empty cartons and rubbish that was laying around everywhere and turning it into my tropical oasis and green frog haven. I was so worried about my tree fern which was stuck in the hot container for over a week when I took the chance of shipping it up. It dropped down to two branches and it was touch and go for a while but as you can see, it recovered and is loving the climate!

I have dark chocolate covered pistachios for a snack. They should be fairly healthy for a snack...but I do not relish them. They are ok but not my favorite.Pistachios -![]()

I love those things! Luckily i have a hard time finding them.I am in the high normal range for weight.
My Dad used to say "some eat to live while others live to eat" Sadly I do love to eat but am working on eating better things.
Now the one I really like for a snack is cinnamon covered Almonds! I have to portion those out and only eat them every other day at lunch. Sadly, the jar is getting a bit low.

My youngest DD complains the we cannot find dark chocolate almonds. We can find milk chocolate covered almonds though.Well, the little quail that hatched yesterday was dead this morning. So poor little Blackbird is a bit lonely today. There are two more eggs in the incubator that look like they are still alive so hopefully at least one will make it. They both look at least a couple of days off hatching though. Here's a cute photo of Blackbird escaping from his pocket that I made with a fuzzy cloth - sometimes he'll snuggle up and go to sleep in it, other times he just climbs straight out.

I'm not a big fan of nuts but if they are covered in dark chocolate - yummy! It has to be dark chocolate though. Now I'm craving Dark Chocolate Scorched Almonds. Do you have those over there? I think Teila will know what I'm talking about.
