The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

We used to have loads of kids in our neighborhood, and the "association" did a hayride and brought them around for trick or treat - OMG tons of kids racing at ONE TIME across the front yard in costumes is quite frightening, but it was loads of fun. There are only a few children around here and they don't go door to door, I'll be working so we'll be lights out for tomorrows event.....but we do have candy for us:)

I would be afraid to answer the door in our area after about 8 pm . And honestly most friendly parented children would be giving it up by 7 :)
We turn the light off well before 9pm now. I do not like opening for the big kids--you never know who will be there

Good morning friends :hugs

CapricornFarm When Syba was unwell, cleaning up cat puke was a daily occurrence and of course, he never puked on an easily washed floor; nooooo … on the carpet, on the couch, on the bed :sick

Touch wood, he has been really good of late, not much puking and we have some anti-nausea wafers for him that the Cat Specialist gave us in case he should need them; we can not risk him puking too much or not eating as dehydration and his damaged kidneys do not mix well.

Jae the eels are fascinating .. I had no idea they ate eggs.

N F C & sunflour Yeah, I have ear plugs and I know how stoopid this is going to sound, but they make it too quiet :p

N F C I hope you are feeling better.

OMG OHLD how adorable are those baby bunnies!! :love Aaaaaw, Mr Peabody is beautiful!

Happy Halloween! Yep, tis the 31st here and now. Our first Halloween in Forrest Beach so I have no idea how many, if any, children will be trick or treating. As I have mentioned before, while it is worming its way into Aus, Halloween is not an Australian tradition so the number of people acknowledging it can vary.

But, that will not stop us, the pumpkin is carved [picture tomorrow], the remote control black widow spider has new batteries and the fridge is stocked with chocolate.

Worse case scenario, we have lots of chocolate to eat over the next few weeks!

Yeah, I'm definitely glad she's doing a bit better. The only thing is I think they restricted the pain meds but ya

They are soooo cute. Are those the same ones that were so little before or a different, older litter?
Same accidental litter, hopefully the last, but maybe not. I have already messed up and the mom was out with a different male, Mr. Peabody actually. Hopefully they didn't do nothing in 10 minutes otherwise, the beginning of December I will be crying again.

Did you ever get any gerbils?

Oh my goodness, those babies are so adorable!

We lost one of our bantams overnight. She wasn't looking good a few days ago then she perked up but yesterday I was pretty sure she wouldn't make it through the night. She was only 3 years old but she'd hardly laid an egg in her life. So the poor kids are sad. But we do have a button quail egg hatching as we speak. I got it out to check if it had pipped (my cheap incubator doesn't allow for decent viewing) and there's a lovely big crack and a little voice peeped excitedly at me! The last chick didn't do that, so hopefully this is a tough one. Little Blackbird is so cute but a friend would make him so happy.

Oh boy! You might end up with another!

And no, not yet.
