The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Since this is a B-day thread, I figured I'd post this:

We went to the Bday party for DWs aunt, 100 years old today. It was held at the retirement place where she and DW's parents live. The other 3 older siblings lived out their lives there as well.

Aunt Ruth told me that when she got her driver's license renewed, they gave her a "Junior operator" (ie under 18) license :lau She had to go back and get that fixed. Approximately 40 family members ranging from 100 years to less than one for the "family only" lunch part. I don't know how many more of the residents for the second part, probably 60 or 70. Ruth, for good reasons, is well thought of!

Happy birthday to DW's aunt...wow, 100! I hope you got some pictures of the family, that covers a lot of generations.

Hello! Going to the doctor and then shopping!:bun Husband wants me to look for ash vacuums. Really? Why does the wood stove need to be vacuumed?

They make a special vacuum for ashes? Sort of sounds like the time my former husband told his very gullible mother he wanted a board stretcher for Christmas and she could find them at the lumber yard.

Best of luck at the doc's CF!

Maybe all metal parts in case you suck up an ember? Wouldn't want the inside of your vacuum bag catching fire. I know they aren't using a standard plastic shop vac when they clean the furnace. Stuff in there can be kind of acidic as well, again not the best thing to eat away the inside of your house vacuum.

Of course I've never looked for an ash vacuum so it is possible such a thing doesn't exist and @CapricornFarm's DH is messing with her. Hey, batboy, go buy me a left handed bat!

Husband says they are metal so you can suck them up hot or not. Idk!
