The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hi everyone!

Still having issues but making a bit of progress. DH's computer works but is very slow (we're getting better service hooked up on Friday) and my iMac isn't working at all so I'm using DH's at the mo.

Beautiful snowy photos CF!

Cntryboy, do you have Gabbie now?

Teila, good work on the yard!

DMC, are you getting some of that snow the others are getting?

J, how are your little ones coming along?

Sour, is your tree decorated now? I don't know that we'll put one up this year with 3 cats in the house.

DD, stay warm & eat ice cream!

Can't remember what else I read, but just wanted to say HI and wish you all a good weekend!
Hi Debby! No snow except what we got on Monday thank goodness!
I think you should put up your tree. Mine have only broken 3 bulbs which of course were new this year:rantI was looking back at pictures of them, we got Opie a year ago tomorrow. They did not bother the tree nearly as bad last year. The bottom picture was taken today.

Such a cute hug!:love

Good Morning Friends :hugs

Thank you everyone … when you live with two fellas who have no interest in the garden whatsoever, you learn to do it yourself ;)

I called hubby over to look when I had finished and he said “what am I looking at?” Granted, he was joking but he really does not care and added “as long as you are enjoying it” FIL does not even appear to have noticed the latest effort and walked straight passed it without comment on the way to tossing the ball for the dog. Last weekend, when I called him over to show him the finished results, he grunted and walked off.

I am not going to vent cos this is my lot but sometimes I really do feel unappreciated :( I listen [sometimes impatiently] to hours of being talked at about something on the computer [where he spends the majority of his day] which does not interest me at all and I can't even get a "looks nice" or "good job" :( Ooops, I AM venting :p

Regardless of their disinterest, I had a beautiful garden at our last home and I intend to have one here! The garden is my sanctuary :)

Plans for today .. copy and paste from last Sunday ;) Finish the housework, do a load of washing, trip in to town for groceries, water the potted plants, sweep under the house, potter after a big day yesterday.

Oh and check back if I can for Gabbie pictures :pop :love and snow pictures to help cool me down on another 91.5F day :drool

The Garden is your sanctuary!

Enjoy it as much as possible.

I am baking Blue Berry Buttermilk Banana bread and roasting coffee beans. The first batch is for espresso and the second batch is for brewed coffee
