The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

If you have all girls, no kids. No kids, no milk. They are not as expensive if not registered.

That makes sense, thanks. And yeah, maybe I can find some non registered ones! But around here even those are still more than the girls. And the ND are like $250-$300, really good lines can go to like $350+, really really good ones can get up to like $600 but most are like $250-$300 and a few $400 but then wethers are like $150 so it's obviously a huuuuugeeeeee price drop. But maybe I could find some unregistered ones

Kdog maybe you'd like fainting goats. One BYCER used to have them just for fun. She had videos of them falling off a table and fainting. Or two of them would butt heads and then both faint. I understand they stop fainting when they mature but, their legs will shake a little instead. I crack up just remembering how silly they were.

They sound adorable! I think I've heard of them before but was worried I'd accidentally make them faint or that it was somehow mean haha but if they do it on their own and/or grow out of it then it doesn't sound bad :)

Although idk if anyone here even breeds them. I'm sure someone must.

They sound adorable.

I'm painfully behind here so I'm jumping in to post...lol. I believe there is quite a number of people on this thread who welcome new members. I just wanted to stop in and apologize for the huge mess I made in the introductions. I didn't realize the repercussions until I got done two pages.

So I managed to get caught up on everything tonight, including the newest introductions which I did last. Hopefully that's straightened things out a bit so everything can go back to the normal flow.

Again, I apologize for any inconvenience this caused. 900x900px-LL-0ed186b2_LL-33.gif

It's nice to have you back Wicked! I didn't see anything wrong with the new intros you posted on (but maybe that means I missed a perfect opportunity to give you a hard time?).

So that wild game meat store I think I mentioned earlier? We bought some stuff to ship to my grandparents but we also bought some stuff for us too.

I wanted to ask if anyone has any good recipes for the meats listed above?

If it's TL;DR the meats are pheasant breasts, rabbit loins (or fillets? Labeled fillet, called loins in store), boneless Pekin duck breast, and elk stew meat.

And here's pictures just cause.

In the end, I pretty much prepare wild game the same as I do domestic. With deer I tend to trim all the wild fat add a different fat to ease up on the gamy flavor. Rabbit is so lean I like to add a little bacon if I'm roasting it. Duck fat is divine.

Here's a pretty good pheasant under glass recipe if you want to give it a whirl.

Yay, i won the art contest!:wee

Congratulations!

Cap, does it make you feel better that I hired the well company to re-connect my well and run lines to the pasture two years ago and they still haven't shown up?

Oh my, hope you didn't give them money up front.
