Well ain't that just a kick in the arse!
Perhaps squirrel cheeks are equally good!
You aren't real surprised since she has no feeling below the waist, right?? For sure gotta make she she doesn't freeze of any part of the lower body.
Just because someone makes it doesn't mean we have to eat itI skip all the fried stuff that shouldn't be fried.
Those would be the NZ equivalent of US Rocky Mountain Oysters??
DD2 spent a semester in Japan. She ordered a tacoyaki pan from Amazon this past summer. If you don't want to look it up, it is basically battered octopus, fried or baked.
Of course calamari is fairly popular as well. Again, it is all about what you are used to ... or willing to try. I'm surprised DD even tried the tacoyaki (which I have not had) given she pretty much doesn't try anything she hasn't had before because she knows she won't like it because she hasn't had it before. How is that for logic??
Very true! I would like to try fried Oreos though haha
I am so naive i thought they were actual oysters

Katie loves Rocky Mountain Oysters - orders them anytime they appear on a menu. “Yes, Gramma, I do know what they are....they come from slow running bulls. The fast ones get to keep theirs.” <groan>
OMG

She is her grandma's grand daughter!!
Very similar to the witchetty grub in Oz. Of course I know about these only from watching Survivor challenges, eaten live. Not something I would put first on my menu either! They might be one of the things a person would want to bread and fry to hide it's true nature.
Even fried I wouldn't touch it.
They also have chocolate covered crickets
