That sounds pretty good!

I also love fruit

Wow that's all really scary!! :(

Tonight I had a tuna sandwich so I wouldn't be hungry and snack later and I even cooked up some spinach kale mix in olive oil and ate it. And I thought I was being pretty healthy. Had a greek yogurt too

But now, 3 or 4 hours later, i just had a bowl of lucky charms :(

I'm glad the box is almost gone though. In fact, maybe I will just throw the box out....

And another yogurt.

But why must I eat when i just had a big sandwich?

And we also just bought a bunch of snacks. Saltines, peanut butter crackers, smart pop popcorn (supposedly healthier), pita chips, and pretzel thins. Of course all of those are carbs and probably unhealthy too but my point is that they are probably at least healthier than freaking lucky charms and i could have had any one of those instead, and in fact did consider it, but noooooo. I had to have lucky charms. :(
Every time a person eats they have to make a decision. Try to make better decisions, you will feel better.

x2 on what Jae said.

Once a month I have one day where I just can not seem to satisfy my hunger and could eat all day!

Sorry to change the subject completely but just wanted to share some pictures ....

So, this is the bird's nest fern my neighbour gave me; she was right, it was a tad on the pot bound side :p

This is that last 'corner' I mentioned. This looked pretty much the same as the rest of the jungle; overgrown etc. Now ready for the beautiful ground cover my neighbour is giving me:

Wow - your garden is looking so gorgeous. I think that poor fern will be very happy it's come to live at your house! It was just a tad pot bound! The pond is looking beautiful now that you've got the ferns all around it.

Of course we missed you! How's your day been?

I was rinsing off some dishes this afternoon under the cold tap, except it wasn't cold at all! I measured it out of curiosity. Almost 80F! We could've gone swimming in our water tanks!

Is it 'that time of the month' for you maybe? I can find myself insatiable when it's that time, craving all the bad stuff. Winter doesn't help with that either.

I don't think it's that time but idk. It kind of feels like it should but but idk.

Kdog a doctor could hook you up with a nutritionalist- to show you what good foods you can eat and how to handle moderate snacking by giving good snack choices. Also eat slower and pay attention to what/how much you are eating. If you are texting or watching tv etc., you don't realize how much you eat.

Also with your snack take a sensible amount on a plate, and put the box away immediately, before you go and take more.

You are definitely right about all that stuff. I get a bunch of food before I sit down to watch TV that I then eat during ir

And I tend to take the whole bag or box in ha

But see, my problem is I theoretically know all that stuff or what I should do but I can't seem to do it.

And seem to have no self control.

And don't want to say no if I'm hungry or wanting something cause then I'm worried I'll get sick

I could all day most days hah

And it's okay, don't worry about changing the subject! There is no real subject.

Nice yard Teila! It is looking great!

And I am curious, do those plants get much sun under there?

Every time a person eats they have to make a decision. Try to make better decisions, you will feel better.

Thanks.

Theoretically I know I need to eat better and sometimes I do for a few days but then the good tasting junk and sugar always wins. :(

Plus I tend to be lazy and it is a lot of work to eat better. Or at least it seems like it. It would probably be easy once I got started. But it's the getting started that's the hardest part. And I tend to have problems starting things too. Especially lately.

And it's almost like I've stopped caring. Even though I KNOW how bad it is for me. Maybe winter partly has to do with that?

I don't exercise either. Like at all.

I need to do something before I get really sick and it's too late.

Do you think it's still reversible?

Thank You Jae!

It has taken me over 6 months to get to this stage with the garden and I hope that I am able to improve it even more.

I forgot how it looked when we arrived so took a wander through the photographs .. no wonder I ache! :lau

Thank you!

The vegetable side does get morning sun but the tropical plant side, no, no sun; most of them would burn as they are more suited to a rain forest with canopy situation. My tree fern, which is having a growth spurt, decided to send one branch out from under the shade .. I did warn it ;)

Anyhow, that one branch, shriveled and burnt :(

:hugs Don't beat yourself up and don't think you can change everything overnight. That's a recipe for feeling like a failure. Choose one thing to do differently and feel a sense of accomplishment that, a month from now you are still sticking to that one thing, despite anything else that's going on.

There's many a day I wouldn't make it through without chocolate! Dark chocolate, mind you, but still.

@CapricornFarm you need to do an interview! Sumi has a terrible time getting anyone to do them (seems especially lately) but they are a fun part of BYC I think. It's always interesting to get to 'know' members better, usually hear some good stories, see some fun photos.

Several of us right here on this thread have done them and I'm sure you'll recognize other names on the list:
#2
(Mine is there under my old user name NorthFLChick, Blooie, Teila, oldhenlikesdogs, ronott1, sourland, etc.).

@Teila love the look of your yard! That poor fern is probably heaving a sigh of relief in his new pot :p

@JaeG 80* water from your cold tap? That's crazy! About what time of year do you all start cooling off normally?

For starters it shouldn't be this hot - this is extreme February weather! I am putting off going to bed because I am melting just sitting still. Sleep is going to be hard to come by when you can't cool off. The kids have only just dropped off and it's 10.20pm.

Usually February is hot, sometimes into March, April we start cooling off. But who knows when it's been stinking hot since the beginning of November?! I know a lot of you are saying "Roll on Spring". I am dreaming of Autumn, I tell you!

It is hard to sleep when it's too hot, hope you can get a break in the weather before long.

(Personally, I'm not in a huge hurry for spring because that means I'll have to go back to work and I'm getting too old & lazy for that  Bad weather and all, I'm enjoying winter!)

<PLOP> Honeys...I'm home! Didja miss me?

If you are borderline or have even been diagnosed as type 2 it is totally reversible but you have to make it a priority. It will not be easy. I watched my mother die from this and it was awful. My nephew was diagnosed earlier this fall at age 27, his was very bad! He got scared and he took complete control and is doing well. He started out on 2 pills and has cut 1 out already just by changing his diet. Please take the bull by the horns and take care of yourself and that’s all I will say on it, good luck!

I’m trying to get hubby to take the camper to Wyoming this summer to meet you but he doesn’t want to take it that far. He wants to see Wyoming though. I could be your helper:lol:
