The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Morning everyone!

@DigMyChicks we had some snow flurries here yesterday...maybe you & I need to have a contest to see who is the last one to have snow this spring

@Teila happy Saturday to you, hope you get a break in the weather soon.

@rjohns39 wanted to congratulate you on the Yum contest again, your dish looked super! Remember the Marsala wine we talked a bit about maybe a week ago? I found a great new recipe for using it, I'll share it over on the home baking thread later today.

@KDOGG331 I think Libby is a cute name for the pup!

That's all I can think of at the moment, need more caffeine!
Good morning...we are supposed to maybe get measurable snow Sunday into Monday. Contest is on:lol:
Good Morning Debby,

Hi Sis, what time is it there??? It's 530 here and you are up, already, I woke up feeling like it was time to get up and it was only 430 :barnie. So, also deep into the first pot of coffee ;).

Our friends of library old book sale was truly dangerous for me a couple of years ago, caught the Norvirus there - the sickest I have ever been - and almost all of the elderly volunteers there got hospitalized for the same --- have not had the guts to attend another since then :(. And left those bargain books sitting in storage for over a year before I had the guts to look at them again ...I do wash and sanitize my hands often, but decided the source was my glasses :th.

So sorry about your washer, had to do the hand wash and hang outside to dry a couple of days last year - why is it taking repair folks so long to come??? . We have a relatively new Samsung fridge - the ice maker froze up and we could not get the ice bucket to budge to remove it to reset. a couple of weeks ago...a repair fellow was able to come in less than a week and got it defrosted, and swapped all the components out - gave DH a business card and told us to call him directly in the future :)

:love Bunnys are all so cute and cuddly but this one is quite special, and can drive :). Bet it is a safer driver than those folks around here who text/talk on phones, we have had so many folks hit while walking near or across roads lately.... so sad.

Had to google that one :lau.

:yuckyuck...I envy your quick wit - so refreshing, laughter is a necessary commodity.

So glad to hear this, did they give y'all a reason for his illness??

I love the puppy pics - just wondering - is that you holding him in the first link?

I've never used an on line service for photo's.....but did lose some valuable ones in the past with 2 simultaneous computer crashes - just too cheap to pay the storage ...but so nice that you have them to reminisce.
Good morning Sunflour! My sister just had the stomach flu then she ended up with the Norovirus and got dehydrated which they said gave her kidney stones and she ended up in the hospital for 2 days. She said that Norovirus was miserable.
When my washing machine went down it was almost 2 weeks before someone came to check it out...then another 2 weeks to fix it. He said there are not enough repairmen and a huge area to cover. My next machine I will buy at a local store other then a big name store as they have their own repair guy. It costs more but they deliver for free and take away the old for free.

DMC, sorry to hear about your sister...what an ordeal! Glad she's better.

We like to buy local too whenever we can (I get that it's not always possible). We like to support the hometown folks and you can usually get better service from someone you're bound to run into time and time again.

Thanks! I took food safety classes when I worked at Subway and it really opened my eyes. I was a hand washer before that but it makes you very aware how easy you can pick up these viruses even being careful, and my sister was careful...ugh!

DMC hope the repair folks get out there very soon.

We don't have any local independent appliance stores anymore....we used to buy everything from them in the past. But, it is so hard for any independent to compete with the large chains.
This was the last time it got fixed...knock on wood, hope it stays working!
