The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I'm also feeling very proud of myself today! We had to run up to Billings and needed to stop at Big R there. The chick wall was full of chicks! Easter Eggers, Spitzhauben (or however you spell that), Orpingtons....you name it! An entire wall full of chicks!! And I walked out of there with none!! Yep, I did it!!! Boy, was it tempting!!!

I'm very lucky that we don't have that kind of thing here. If you want chicks you have to go to a breeder, or hatch your own. You are a much stronger woman that I would be in that situation!

I was a redhead too. Yep, I was! Got the redhead eyelashes and old photos to prove it! Tried to replicate it when the hair started going gray, but the battle of the bottle got to be too much for me!

There are a few grey (well, white) strands there but that's fine by me. I'm not sure I can be bothered trying to dye it (never having dyed my hair ever). I'm not one for putting on make-up (other than mascara - don't leave the house without that on)! But anything more than that is too much effort. I've got better things to be doing (like racing round trying to feed and water all the birds).

Nice to see you Jae. My son was a redhead till he decided to shave it all off. He does have a very nice short trimmed red beard now.
My younger son is a redhead too! I love it when he grows it long! I used to color my hair to match his. It is fun being a red head!

Aww, that's a shame - at least he's got some hair on his face though. A young boy came to pick up the cockatiel they'd chosen as a birthday present for his Dad and he had gorgeous red hair too. A really nice young man he was as well. People always commented on my sisters and me when we were little because we've all got the red hair. My older sister is slightly darker and my younger sister has lighter.

Yay for red heads! :celebrate I do love my red hair. My kids both have brown hair but it might pop up in the next generation. :fl

When I was in my 20's I suddenly got allergic to the Maybelline Ultra Lash mascara. That was my secret weapon, everyone thought I had fantastic eye lashes. My eyes got all red & itchy and puffed up all around them. Being young I thought my life was over. Was told to switch to Almay because it was hypoallergenic. Eh! I could only wear it for about an hour before the allergy started up again.

At some point decided not to bother. Haven't worn any makeup for decades now. I do wear sunblock,

I have always loved redheads even raised a lot of red Cockers back in the day. My son hated his red hair because women kept coming up to him and saying, red hair was wasted on a male. He also has pale eyelashes. Women at work tease him for his invisible eye lashes. I told him what he should say in return.(can't repeat here.) But he won't.

Aren't people ridiculous sometimes?! Poor guy!

My grandmother's sister was a red head, My cousin was a redhead and other cousins had red headed kids. But theirs were the carroty color with tons of friz and freckles. My son just had straight red hair, no freckles and a kinda gold halo over the red on very sunny days. Now that he shaves his head bald, he does have a nice shine to it.

I lost all my own lashes and my extensions when I caught Kendra’s virus in January. And no, the extensions had nothing to do with the infection - both eye doctors reassured me of that. But now I have hardly any.... not even enough to get new extensions yet. They’re coming back, but very slowly!

And here’s the chick wall at Big R.....ohhh, but it was hard to walk away!

Good Afternoon Friends :hugs

Gee Blooie, eye roll at the Scoliosis test with Kendra

Great interview Jessica! :p Great pics also! :clap

Very, very wet and windy here today!
