Today I believe was the coldest it's been all winter, not for regular old temperatures, but for that blasted wind, 30mph gusts kept me at one point from being able to move forward while my face was quickly frozen off, then I stood outside my shed door unable to pull it open until for that one second of reprieve, then I got in.

That was my random statement for the day. Anyone else missing their face?

Well I got out on the lake today...we got probably the same weather as you it never got much above zero today with high wind.
Well my ice auger wouldn't start.
So I sat out there fighting with it for I don't know how long. I'm not one to wear gloves. I didn't even bring any.
Anyway my hands turned beat red....and stung....well I figured out the throttle plates in the carburetor froze closed...got it running and went fishing.....but I think I froze my hands off...

So now we are down some hands and a face. Don't you have one of those fancy ice shanties, with heat and a refrigerator, you could watch television while fishing. Have you're watch Grumpy Old Men, one of our favorite movies.

Oh yeah I have a nice shack..but we needed to drill holes before we could set it up.......once we got the holes in we were good.

Glad you have a power anger, those hand crank ones can't be pleasant, I know I gave my husband one years ago, he said it's pretty hard to get a good hole drilled. How thick is the ice up there?

Morning!

Yesterday DH went to the corner to pick up the mail and a white pit bull followed him home. The friendliest, sweetest tempered dog. No tags on him, just a choke chain. We've checked with the neighbors, no one knows anything about him so we put "Found" signs up and down the road. He's obviously someone's pet, he's very well behaved and seems to know some basic commands. I hope his owners call.

What's everyone up to this weekend? (Sounds like Phil is going fishing.)
