Worked in the garden today. Planted a bunch of mammoth sunflowers all over in different areas. Just seeds but if they're as prolific as the BOSS seeds they'll take off lol 12 feet tall supposedly. Put a couple by the chickens for shade.

Anyway, mom and I also went to Ocean State and went a little crazy... went to return stuff, bought like triple :lau

Plant/garden stuff, food, shampoo, soap, they have everything there and cheap.

Anyway, we got a ton of peony bulbs, some i think clematis but can't remember if we put that back, a bunch of lily bulbs, some soil, tomatoes, a bunch of morning glory seed packets (all seeds 40% off), a pretty flamingo wind chime etc. They had really good tomato plants and flowers and stuff so I got 4 tomatoes. They had better boy and cherries and a yellow kind but I already have better boys and cherries so I got 2 Brandywine and 2 of another kind that was a mix of Brandywine and something else I can't remember atm. But it said heirloom on both varieties? I know Brandywine is.

Anyway, big, healthy plants $2.99. Not sure if that's a good deal or not? Need to check out the nurseries. But I've been meaning to try Brandywine and have a pack of seeds but didn't get to plant them this year yet and I think it's too late now.

So I'm excited to be able to buy some.

Now to just hurry up and get the garden finished haha

Also so far the tomato varieties I have are better boy, cherry (forget what kind), black krim, and now the new ones so Brandywine and whatever the mix is.

@Teila, great job on everything around your home. As for the snoring - the Princess has become a world class snorer. I go to bed first and when her snoring wakes me I go to the spare bedroom until about 4 AM. By then she stops snoring :idunno, and I can return to our bed.

@KDOGG331 , I like Brandywine. If you can find them, Mortgage Lifter is the best tomato that I have ever eaten.

@Teila beautiful new fern, it should do well for you in the shady spot. Hard to believe it's been a whole year since you moved. The girl's spot is lovely and you've made such an impact to the whole yard!

@Michelle Farmer-Brown you're getting a lot done! When are your new birds due to arrive?

If you all can stand just one more restaurant update...yesterday the truck came that we were hoping would have the rest of our grocery order. Nope, they brought the exact same stuff as last time. Someone on their end messed up and just duplicated so it had to all go back. Still limping along with what we can offer.

A terrible storm kicked up late yesterday afternoon. Wind, lightening, rain and then baseball size hail. A big tree lost the top, DH's truck got one nasty dent on the roof, the roof over the kitchen door wound up with 4 hail-size holes in it. I came home to check on things and found where one of those hail stones had rammed straight through the roofing over one of the coop nesting boxes. Have to get that fixed up pronto, more rain coming today.

Can summer be over now so I can get back to quiet, peaceful winter?

Good morning, you ever-loyal group!! I've been reading and keeping up, just not posting as much. Now, just keep on keeping on, and I'll pop in from time to time so you know I'm still kicking!

Debby, that stinks! Kinda sounds like they're running their business like the Keystone cops, so they don't understand that not every business is willing to jump into that old movie with them! We didn't get the weather you've had, so we'll just hide up here. If it doesn't see us, maybe it will keep avoiding us!

Ken has finalized his Grand Lodge schedule. Boy, I hope you guys don't expect to see much of me after July -
