Morning all...
13 was the total #. One didn't make it. It got squashed in the huddle/under mom.
I'm on bottle feeding duty today.

Or did you mean this sort of bottle duty?

Where did you find that feeding station? That's exactly what Kathy needs.
Checking on friend's pregnant dog while she's at work... 13 pup and I'm not sure she's done

Rottweiler? OMG they do have big litters. I used to have an old stethoscope and would listen for heartbeats to see if any were left inside. Do you check that all afterbirths were accounted for?
Note: my doctor made me give up the stethoscope because I kept using it on me and deciding I had all kinds of problems. At least that was long before computers and checking symptoms on Google.
Rotfl
Somehow that doesn't surprise me DD.
Yup... dam is pure rott. Sire is a hound mix who throws very large litters. Last year their lab/duck toll retriever had 15.
This girl only has 7 teets, so I had to play musical pups to make sure that they all nursed.
She ate all of the afterbirths as soon as they came out.
Holy smokes!

Michelle, that pic brought back fond memories for me...![]()
We had a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever once. Sweetest dog ever, and too smart for her own good! But she went back to her breeder after she ran out and snapped at Jamie when he was about 4 years old, and his crime was simply walking past the coffee table she was laying under. I was sitting right there and grabbed her collar. He had never bothered her in any way shape or form, so there was no excuse for it. She was gone two days later. I will not have any animal that I don't trust 100% with the kids or grands, ever.
Today is always a rough one. Hard to think that it was 6 years ago today that we lost our Austin. Hug someone you love today - let them know how you feel because you might not get a second chance.
Wish people would do the same with their aggressive roosters, some brag about it , others just make excuses 1) oh he's so handsome, 2) but I love him 3) the kids know they should take a pitch fork with them.
YES! And they talk about rehabiliting those roosters, totally ignoring the possibility that just because he learns to behave for one person doesn't mean everyone is safe. As hard as it was to do, even our Scout wasn't too special to be put down when he went after me. Can you imagine if Kendra, Katie or Evan had been out there when he got that hair up his hiney to attack? Kendra not only couldn't have gotten out of his way, she wouldn't even have understood that she should try.
I grew up making Snickerdoodles but my 1st attempt here in WY was a disaster! The high altitude really messed them up. Got lucky though and found a recipe for them geared toward our alt and now all is well![]()

Happy Cleaning Day!Finally changed the filter and water in the fish tank today. Desperately needed it. It was pretty low and evaporated for a while cause I couldn't get to the tank. Finally cleared some stuff and did it today. Much happier. And I was able to get some new pics. They're huge now. I will post then and now. They've come a long way since the teeny little Petco fish that barely filled the tank lol they're like little sharks now.
