The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hi Sour! How's the day? As usual, its sundowner time, combined with live rugby - I'm as happy as a pig in your know where!

Cheers

My day is starting as yours is ending. Just waiting for the Princess to roust herself and then take me out for a pancake breakfast. It tastes so very much better when she pays. Hope your team does well. Princess has a friend in New Zealand who puts the 'fanatic' definition on rugby fans - the guy is nuts, but then again he is nuts in general (in the very best of ways).

Pancakes (free ones especially) is a very civilised way to begin a Sunday. I agree, all Kiwis are rugby mad - easy when you have the best team in the world i guess!

Enjoy your break - come to think of it, with you Scottish heritage, shouldn't you be having porridge with salt for breakfast?

Chris

The German was the cook - far more likely to have bratwurst for breakie.

Good morning all! Cold here this morning.....39 degrees at 6:30 am. When I look outside the only place I can see snow is on top of the mountains. There just hasn't been any. Might get cold tomorrow, though, then all week it's supposed to be close to 70 for daytime highs. Shoot, I could just as well go out and plant the garden! My lilac bushes are budding - in FEBRUARY! Never saw anything like this winter. That concerns me because I know we'll get another deep freeze before the end of the season, and there go the fruit trees! <Sigh> Even our grass is greening up!

Glad you liked the video. I thought it was so doggone funny! Her facial expressions are priceless. That was taped at a high school reunion. Any of you been to your high school reunion? I haven't - I dropped out of school at 16, 3 months into my junior year. (I started school when I was 4, seriously) Those people in that school are what drove me out - why in the heck would I want to see any of them ever again?

Good morning, Blooie. Never have attended any of my high school reunions. At the Princess's thirtieth reunion, the guy sitting directly in back of me died of a major heart attack.

Needless to say that put a damper on future reunions. Until two years ago that is. The Princess and 2 classmates planned their 50th reunion, and all went well. Some of those people were really old.

Sour, that sure would put a damper on any future reunions.

I've never gone to any of mine either. The only one I ever heard of was when I was extremely pregnant and didn't want to waddle in like that. I'm not sure our class had any more. I ran into the h.s. secretary a few years later and she told me our class was "different".

Guess that could explain it, lol.

Cold, cold, cold here this morning. The temp dropped to freezing last night. Hope that's the end of that nonsense for one winter!

Now all you northerners can tell me what a sissy I am and you are still up to your noses in snow

Snowing like Heck right now....was 60 , degrees yesterday...dropped 30 degrees while I Was out on the ice fishing.

Or haggis?
:sick
