The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Happy birthday, Sour!!! I remember reading Misty when I was a little girl - spent the entire time trying to figure out how to pronounce the place they were from!! Now we live just a few miles from the country's first National Wild Horse Range.

I tried to talk Ken into taking the day off and heading up into the mountains for the day. So hot here. But this is his swamped time of year - all the annual reports are coming in from Chapters and from Councils across Wyoming and he has to put them into one state report, get them into the Proceedings, get them printed up and distributed. Then he has to file them with the National Council/Chapter offices, get the state nominations in to them for special awards, and order and pick up name badges for the new officers. This time of year I see less of him than I did when he was in the Navy!! Oh, he's here....but all I see is his back. A day trip would have been lovely. Oh, well, guess I'll go clean the toilet.

about 20 steps.... :yesss:
Yeah but that doesn't count the distance to the kitchen to make coffee right?

Pretty hard to pump up from the river due to the fact there is no electricity down there and the change in elevation from the river to the house is pretty steep.
I guess if you had a serious drought you could get a gas powered pump.

Mom and I just saw a fox. Looked kinda sickly though? Idk... thoughts?
I think you are right. Looks kind of ratty and I don't think lying by the side of the road during the day is normal. Glad you were driving rather than walking past it.

Ain't that just the way? Retired and no time to take off!

Yeah, my thoughts as well. On the way out of the hotel/lodge too. I wanted to turn around and inform them or call fish & game but I didn't want it to be killed

How are you feeling, Sean?
I feel ok, Cap. Thanks for asking. I'm not in any pain but it is a pain moving birds around and feeding them on crutches!:lau I imposed on my neighbor and he's going to come over and feed and water my birds for me while I'm crippled. I have a couple of really good neighbors...uhh make that good friends!:)
