The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Well, winter is here....Wyoming Winter that is. Heavy snow at the East entrance to the Park...naturally, since we have to drive through that way when we go to Jackson/Evanston/Pinedale next week. Maybe it'll all be melted off by then. Currently snowing in Jackson, too.

I won't raise chicks with that MHP thing - too dangerous. I mean, the heating pad is a fire hazard, right? Besides, I heard that it's like putting the chicks in a giant MRI. I'll just stick them in a plastic tote with a heat lamp on either side, sterilize everything they eat and drink, and put them outside when I get the first egg. That's what all the experts recommend, so they must be right!

Tam will still be here for a while. Repairs haven't started on the house yet, so Fee is covered for a while. But after she moves, then we will start taking Fiona to a good boarding kennel not that far from here. It's too much to ask Tam to be trying to settle in and have to contend with the Jolly Gray Giant.

Today is Linda's birthday. You'd think by now it wouldn't bother me as much - but it does. Man, I miss her more than even I thought possible.
