The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

When we talk about raising kids with manners, it's kind of amazing to see the stark differences when shopping or being out in public. For the most part, the locals keep their kids on a tight leash, teach manners and insist on them being polite. The transplants pretty much just let theirs run wild.

Congrats on the hatch sharron...

Morning DMC, sharron, and Bob

sharron - congrats on the hatch :jumpy
thanks, today and tomorrow are the days for this hatch, have another hatch coming up sometime toward the end of the week i think, have to look on the calendar, some of those are the ones i really want, the others just something to look forward to:D

My bator is shut down for the year... But the brooder is booked up for the next 6-9 weeks. After the turkeys and ducks come out, I'll put in 80 meat birds and after they come out, I'll put in 20 meat ducks if I can find the stock. Then I'll be done for the season.

Yeah, when I was growing up, children were to be seen, not heard. Now days I think some people take their kids to Wally World just to punish them. There's always some parents in there "whuppin" their kids! :lau
And then there's those that just ignore the kids, like it isn't their kids acting up!

s-l1600.jpg these are the ones i want, just love the color and they're bantams

wow, thats alot of birds, you must sell for meat, me i just hatch cause i love what i have, will probably try to sell at one of the swaps, that is, the cockins this year, the orpingtons if i get any will keep, even the cockerels, kinda rare around this area, never saw anything like this until i was just fooling around on ebay

I guess most folks around here think my birds are boring. They lay tan or white eggs and the RIWs are pure white while the Hollands look more like a barred rock. I didn't like the temperament of the dels and the leghorns were way too flighty.
