I had my brother send me the pictures he showed me last night lol meet Franklin... they pick him up tomorrow.

They say he's Pyrenees/Collie but who knows. They said that about Libby too lol different group but yeah.


I think his name now is Tony S or something but they are renaming him Franklin.

That is one cute puppy - I think even I'd be tempted to adopt that cutie! Franklin is a much nicer name. And there's no harm in enquiring at your brother's friends place. Sounds like it would be a great place to work and doing what you love as well.

The whole Social Security numbers are a bit of a mystery to me (being from a little country way down under). We have an IRD (Inland Revenue Department) number but you only need that to get paid when working and to file taxes, although the kids have them so that we can receive a tiny bit of money from the government (because one of us is working). They overpaid us last year so we now owe them a whole lot of money. I hate money! It makes life far too complicated.

I got mine when I went to college....73 ish.... I think I was 18. Have it memorized. Same with my Drivers license number.... They were still using the old fashioned Card readers for credit cards... Stick the card in a machine... lay on the recipt with its carbon paper.... and Slide a Roller over the top... Then they rip off your copy and stick their copy in the register.

My first Programming class used Keypunch cards and Teletype tape...

In the retail trade, those old credit card machines were known as "knuckle busters". They could really scrape a person!

or at least maybe let me like intern or something to get the experience/prove I can before they officially hire me. Idk. They're hoping to open in January so I could maybe volunteer or work somewhere else for the experience.

You can volunteer at the Humane Society, I think they always need people. And sometimes jobs do come with a 2 week "give it a try" period so hopefully your friends will give you a chance.

That's a good idea. There are several shelters and such around here, maybe I could volunteer at one of those. Walk the dogs or clean pens or something.

The chorizo in the spaghetti sauce was good! I enjoyed the different taste and DH & DS both liked the extra zip (although DS also added a lot of crushed red peppers to his).



I couldn't figure out the bacon & egg reference and you thought my orange was a pumpkin...I'd say we're getting along famously Deb (doing a real good job confusing each other ).



Al, you know those phone calls are a scam. After all, I've already been told by an Eastern European that I won! Waiting for the check to hit my bank account any day now.

DH was excited, that means he gets to stick the "frost delay" sign up at the golf course and he'll be able to get some stuff done before the golfers show up.
