The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Places don't seem to sell very fast around here, but we do have a couple things in our favor. We live right off a paved road and we have a traditional-built home (as opposed to pre-fab or mobile homes). We did have a couple say they were interested but they wanted us to finance them. Um, no.

Once we do sell, we'll head up north to Wyoming. My brother is going to put up with us for a couple weeks so we can find a rental, then we'll start looking for a house.

Hi BertS. Nothing wrong with St. Patricks jokes any time of the year. It seems far more a bigger deal in the states than it does in Ireland - but then if you are Irish, you don't need an excuse for a few drinks and a sing-song i guess!

or maybe another excuse..........

NFC I didn't know you wanted to move to Wyoming- guess I miss a bunch of pages. Then you'll have to be "Wyoming Chick."

Apparently, Debby decided on F(former) NFC, but we could do a sweepstake on what her new BYC name should be i reckon

For some reason, that idea scares me

We won't be going anywhere until the house sells so I could be here a while yet.

Question to all you bird fanciers...does the wind bother your chickens? I was outside thinking the girls would enjoy an outing but as soon as a gust of wind came along, they would all scamper back into the run. Finally, I just put them back in and came back inside. This isn't anything new, but I just wondered if everyone has the same thing with their chickens.

I don't know if anyone but another southerner can understand how it took 3 hours to clean the wooden steps and landing on the north side of the house. YUCK! We don't use those steps and it doesn't get much sunlight so there was nasty mildew crap on them. Got rid of most of it but will have to go another round with them before they really look good. My head is stopped up and my arms are rubbery.

Can I call it quits on the cleaning for one day?

No we get the same thing in the north too....that's why if your lost in the woods you can always find north cuz the moss grows on the northern side of the tree

good morning to you too but, it's 3:41 am and I am headed to bed  - have to be up at 7:30 am

Yeah I'm like that too...I tossed and turned all night to fall asleep around 6am
