The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

morning sour:frow
well, hes either healing or the pills are working quite well, sean?
Not on anything this morning. No pain other than the normal everyday background pain. :lau

I like to say that I can still do everything I once could, but it takes longer and the price is far higher. :hmm

speaking of which - off to the final day of club field trial. :wee
The mustache will only add a little more character to an already delightful character!
Good luck at the trials, today!

that is such good news:thumbsup
Yeah, I'm surprised because I had an argument with the crutches last night and I lost. Landed on my butt, didn't have boots on! :lau wasn't a very far fall but it definitely hurt. :hit

Good morning all :frow

Sour, have a good time at the field trial!

Sean, quit arguing with those crutches...you know they're always going to win.
Well it was actually George's fault. He brought a grass burr in with him. I stepped on it, yeah I was barefoot, anyway you can guess my immediate reaction! The only place to go when no legs are on terra firma, is down. :lau it smarted pretty good, just glad I didn't hear anything go "pop"!

I actually don't mind those crunchy seaweed snacks... but don't ever crave them.
DW and the DDs like dried sea vegetable. I think it smells disgusting.

The house would have to sit up very high (beautiful views though) and we'd have to create a path down into the bush as it's very steep.
What do you plan to do with the property? Will the vertical nature of it make that difficult?

It's had pines on it but they have mostly been cleared. There's enough scrap wood laying about to keep us in firewood forever.
Are there hardwoods down there or are you stuck with pine? Smells nice as you walk through the forest but a second rate wood for heating a home.

Ok, so I'm clicking on various online shopping links and find these:

Waterproof Casual Winter Backless Boots

I don't get it. Why are they waterproof if they don't have a back? Won't your feet get wet if the back part of your foot is uncovered? And what good are they for keeping feet warm in winter?

:idunno This makes no sense to me.
I couldn't be blind enough to call those "boots". Maybe they should call them "Waterproof Casual Winter Half Boots since they are missing half of what makes a boot a boot.

I suppose it would be asking too much to expect 1/2 price for 1/2 boots :D

How are you doing Bruce?

Pretty well Debby. HARD day yesterday. Put out the trash and recycles, let the chickens out, snack them and the alpacas, monthly lunch with other retirees, grocery shopping, get the chickens back behind the gate, snack them and the alpacas, then out to dinner with DW, DDs and friends (woman and 17 Y/O daughter) that moved to Tennessee a few years ago. They were up because the daughter was looking at Dartmouth. Check to make sure the chickens all put themselves away, collect the egg I expected would be waiting and lock up the barn, read forums. Yep, VERY hard day :gig

Will be cutting wood again today, once it warms up a bit.
