who votes on the winner? judge or members? Thanks, took about 5 hours to carve it. I am going to enter it in the contest tonight.
It is 75F now. We did have a red flag fire danger yesterday. I saw a headline about a grass fire in Butte County that was threatening some buildingscan't believe it but its 71 here right now, went to check mail in sleeveless and shorts and flip flopswill take all of this weather the good Lord sends
Judges usually pick the winners by rating the entries. Big ones like the Calendar are whittled down by judges and then staff picks the final winners.who votes on the winner? judge or members?
No goodies here...Did you make any of your nice desserts for Halloween?
I think I'm going to make up a pan of brownies, might go fancy and pipe a pumpkin on them (that's about as fancy as I get).
DH still has 3 guys working for him getting the golf course closed down, so we'll have plenty of help eating them.
Thanks!Love your avatar!
DW had to stop skiing when she got RA. She was the big skier, used to race. Plus, I was spoiledOh wow how come?
Gotta make cordwood when the sun shines! Looking forward to the sun shining so I can use my new splitter but that doesn't seem likely in the next week. After months of no rain, we now seem to have rain or drizzle most every day. Feels like Oregon.husband is finally playing with his last toy, the log splitter, hes been outside splitting logs since right after dinner, must like it, hasn't stopped yet

Winter weekends were bed, breakfast, lunch, dinner, skis sharpened and waxed, 10 minute ride to the mountain with boots already on (FIL drove). We would go up around 8:30, ski a couple of hours and go home. Made sense to get a pass that excluded holidays back then. Now it is $79 at Smuggs (closest and where DD2 will be working as a lift attendant again this year) and $85 at Stowe for a weekend day. Though ... since I'm retired I guess I could go on the less busy weekdays now and in 3 years I'll get the 'old people' price which is about $20 cheaper. Not sure I have the knees to ski more than a few runs anymore though.
