The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Thanks Debby! Me too! I had hubby make me a Christmas tree base out of the shiplap and I stained it...hoping it will stop the cats from shooting up the base of the tree.

Good luck with that DMC! Let me know if it helps.

The first Christmas we had Bam Bam & Pip, Bam spent most of the holiday in the tree. He'd climb up into it and go to sleep. Last year when we had all 3 cats, we just had a tiny table top tree so no room for any tree cats. Not sure what we'll do this year but it's just not Christmas without a tree (at least for me)!

Hope you feel better soon. I always take a pill and go to bed when that happens.

Thanks! I would sleep but it's a gorgeous day and I don't like sleeping in the middle of the day. Didn't really sleep much last night. Went to bed around 1:30, woke up around 3:30 (though actually I really just couldn't really sleep till then or maybe only slept an hour, had napped in the car) and threw up a lot and had to go to the bathroom.. After that I slept pretty well :lau but woke up again maybe 6 or 6:30. Then finally woke up around 10 or just before and felt pretty satisfied/like I should get up but in reality I probably should have stayed in bed. :/ realized that and tried to go back to sleep around 10:30 but I just couldn't. Thought I would, was comfy and tired for a few minutes, but I was just too awake I guess. Was slightly nauseous this morning but now mostly better and my headache is slightly going away but may still take something. Managed to eat an apple and a cinnamon raisin English muffin. I went to a concert last night and it was awesome but there were a lot of crowdsurfers and I caught quite a few being in the middle and also got kicked in the head once. Well, not really kicked but his leg landed on top of my head. But my headache actually wasn't even too bad last night, was mostly just nauseous, and felt better once I threw up, but then on the way back to bed this morning after that I walked right into the door frame. It was dark and I couldn't see where I was going... WHACK! Head hit door frame kinda hard. Instant headache. That was only like 3:30 so not that long ago.

I agree, it’s not Christmas without a tree. I will let you know. Wishful thinking I’m sure!! I got a new tree so trying to keep it in one piece. :gigI bought a metal one but you can see how well that worked....way to short.

Who needs a tree skirt when you have tree cats! :gig

My father's mother was very impatient - in the middle of eating - fork aloft, she would take dishes from us to start washing them. We all had exasperated looks on our faces
:lau my mother would do that too. She thought that if she was finished, everyone else should be too. I'm a disgustingly fast eater thanks to her.

Feel pretty great and energetic now so idk if I should take anything but my head does still hurt. Problem is Advil doesn't really work anymore cause I take it so often or did plus have gained weight but I am nervous to take 3 and Excedrin makes me feel weird from the caffeine which would suck cause I otherwise feel great. But it's looking like the only option

Good morning :frow

Think I finally caught up with you all, was about 200 posts behind and missed a surprise visit from Nifty

The house closing went fine, just took forever. Even after all the paperwork done online, still ended up with about an inch of papers to sign. Our poor realtor, once we were done and walking out, the wind caught hers and blew it all over the street. We had to stop traffic to help gather it all up. We went all over Casper looking at remodeling stuff, think we have our plans pretty well figured out. Got home late yesterday wore out.

The guy we were counting on to check on the cats & chickens wound up in jail so now we have to find someone else that we can count on:barnie

Michelle, I saw your post about your house, darn it! Keeping my fingers crossed you can get that darn house planted soon and can start working on it :fl

Blooie, you zipped into and out of Cowley so fast I think you must have been just a blur!

More catching up to do...back later!

P.S. And now it's snowing :th
welcome home
