Had all four of my wisdoms remove at once. Never took pain meds then, too! Doc asked me if I wanted them but I told him my pain meds a bottle of Wild Turkey. He didn't think it was funny, told me I better not get dry socket or he'd hurt me the next time!

Hmmm, I wonder what he had planned given your pain tolerance.

Dad smoked Cigars... Well really they were "Accent" pieces... He loved the routine or ritual of lighting one and he would keep it going all day in some fashion or other....

I swapped into my boots, so no story of falling on my butt in the mud. I need to find my holster, it is too awkward to carry a gun and a flashlight.

decided to go with a new avatar of our son when he was kick boxing, this is his first fight and win, hes 45 now and i think this was about 8 years ago, he finally got smart and stopped fighting, he was called dirty cop

Once the sun is up, I'm going to go get a garbage can and a 100 pounds of feed out of the barn and put it in the garage. The pasture is waaaay toooo wet and I need to give it time to heal before driving on it again. We've gotten 5" of rain this month, mostly in the last few days.

We seem to get 2" of rain a day! Terrible.

You have engineering skills (if I've read some of your posts right)...maybe you got that from your dad. He sounds like he was an interesting guy!

He was. Worked in area 51 for a while when we lived in vegas... Advised Physicists, built high speed machinery, Innovated manufacturing processes... Worked on tooling for the first space station... The list goes on... Taught himself calculus when we moved here. Yet he never had that paper you get from a college degree... called a diploma.

didnt have faith in college at all .... he felt that teachers tended to push out creativity and thinking out side of the box. He also felt there was a solution to every problem.

When I was about twenty five and taking calculus he gave me a problem to solve. Take a unit cube.. That is a cube with lengths of sides one by one by one. Inside fit a unit sphere. That sphere will touch all six sides of the cube at a single point. Then take another sphere and fit it in the corner... Touching three sides of the unit Cube and a single point on the unit sphere. What size is the new sphere.

I worked on it for days... Gave it to my Calculus instructor he had seen the problem before but could give me no advice... you cant solve it with a single slice through them all... but I do know some how its form of a ratio problem... and has a simple but not obvious answer.

I got all that until about the 3rd paragraph The only reason I passed h.s. math classes was because my dad walked me though the homework (he was an engineer). Math is not my friend.
