The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Thank you Jae :)

Abby, the small one, learned to sit in 3 days. They wanted a cookie for going out to potty. No sit, no cookie. We don't have to tell her to sit most of the time now. With 3 dogs they definitely need to learn some manners early.

We are working on leash training too already. She walked around the block yesterday almost the whole way. First time ever on a leash.

Sorry, to ramble I'm a proud puppy mama

Ramble away, I'm glad to hear about the adventures in puppy raising!

Sounds like Abby is a smart little miss, you have good reason to be a proud puppy mama!

Frozen stouffers lasagna and stouffers chicken alfredo pasta for dinner. I wasn't particularly hungry cause I had gone to Subway earlier, still a little full actually, but figured I'd eat with everyone so I had some. But I did make sure to have salad, which no one else did. Which is actually weird cause usually they do and I don't. But oh well. Just spinach and my healthy dressing I bought a while ago. No sugar or anything. It's ranch. But avocado oil.

This is the dressing.

The no sugar as well as the acidity takes some getting used to but it is good.

As was dinner. And oddly I actually liked the chicken alfredo better. I'm normally a big lasagna person. But I think it was a little burnt or something and not much in those lasagnas these days. Getting to be less in both volume and flavor aha but both were good. But the chicken alfredo was really good.

And had a teeny piece of Italian bread to soak up the sauce.

Anyway, definitely a lot of carbs and a lot of food in general, but I did try to make an effort/decision to at least be slightly healthier with the salad and especially the healthy dressing rather than one of the numerous unhealthy ones in there. And if it was up to me I wouldn't have had such a big, carb heavy dinner but it wasn't so I made the best of it.

Been drinking way too much water too.

Hi Jae :frow I think a lot of dogs are better at posing than cats. I probably had to take 10 pictures of Opie to get that one that wasn't too blurry

How are all your little birds doing? Any new ones?

Thankfully no new babies at the moment. Our dove chicks are getting cuter by the day and they are very cuddly. Their parents are considering making a new nest so they only occasionally feed their current chicks and only snuggle with them at night. These cuties are starting to perch on the edge of the nest and watch what's going on below.

Hopefully that photo is OK - my phone doesn't take very good photos.

Our dog just wants to play whenever she's off her bed, and I don't have many puppy photos because she was so busy. She's inherited the English Pointer personality so she's always on the go, distractable, excitable - I just wish she'd inherited the light shedding too, but she sheds like it's going out of fashion. Next time around I would like a calmer, cuddlier dog. But the kids love how playful she is and she provides lots of laughs.

You're allowed to brag as much as you like, especially when Abby is such a bright spark. We don't mind a bit, especially when we get a gorgeous photo.

I have to post these cute pictures. These are a couple of our outdoor kittens my sister took home with her at Thanksgiving. I tamed them in about a week. (My BIL said she couldn’t have them.)They had to put both of theirs down last year. Her house without a cat is not normal. Her husband caved:lol:He sure looks like he didn’t want cats.
