I've got an interesting migratory visitor... It's about for inches tall, white body and orange head with a 2" bill. I have no idea what it is, but it's pretty.

This article is from 2009 and back then 42% of the native yellow billed magpie were killed by west nile. I remember a newer article saying that they were nearly extinct nownever had magpies, just crows, blue jays, mocking birds and lots of small birds, doves and every once in a while, pheasants come up to eat with the chickens not to mention wild turkeys and another love of mine, wood peckers

Good deal!! DW is paying about $8K a year for her Federal BCBS for the family. That is terrible!
Currently Medical insurance is the same for retirees. At 65, they convert to a combination medicare and kaiser system. The cost is the same as before. The thing I need to see is if the retiree coverage will cover family too.
The cost is not bad-- something like $175.00 per month
Because UC Davis is a public University, All employees have to be treated the same. If Retirement medical insurance was cut for Staff, then it would have to be cut for Faculty. That would hurt recruitment so it is un likely that there would be a change
The river has carved new banks!
FIL did gas station installs, retired just before I met DW. He had a buried gasoline tank next to the pole barn garage with one of those old pumps on it. Winter weekends were very nice. Spend the night Friday and Saturday. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Skis tuned and waxed and a ride to the lifts with our ski boots on. Gas up the car on the way out Sunday night. That weather stations rain gauge may be like the old style gas pumps. They wouldn't register above 99 and 9/10 cent per gallon. When the prices raised higher than that they had to replace with more modern pumps.
While I was gone, a couple of Christmas Elves came by my house. And they were busy!
Alcatraz is a National Park now, Guantanamo is for "foreign fighters". But there are plenty of maximum security prisons available. Of course with help he's already escaped from prison before. He needs to go to Alcatraz or Guantanamo or whichever one it is that's still open or even death penalty.
And when it's time to take everything down, just do this:
Def need pictures! 2" bill sounds like a woodpecker or a wading bird. Though 4" seems awfully short for a wading bird.I've got an interesting migratory visitor... It's about four inches tall, white body and orange head with a 2" bill. I have no idea what it is, but it's pretty.

Good thing you haven't replaced the dock yet!

You know, if cleaning up were that easy, I would get one of those things!
