The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Me too Kdogg. My son was here for 2.5 weeks and we went out to eat (with desserts)and shopping daily. Got on scale :barnie. Got off scale :th.Haven't eaten in two days, no problem for me if I keep busy. Hoping to kickstart a downward spiral.

Haven't used stuff in fridge, and noticed yesterday milk, cheese, Miracle whip, eggs, were badly outdated. :smack

Take care of yourself!! That’s not really healthy either :hugs gaining a little weight during the holidays is normal! :hugs

Yesterday I was doing really good but then there was a little bit of ice cream cake left (okay, really probably two pieces) and I wanted to finish it off

Geese flew over me on my commute to work! It is nice to see them. Then I saw one of the flocks of wild turkeys in a field off of the exit I take onto campus.

I wonder what else I will see today?

I hatched out 14 quail for the hatch a long. This is when I had 12 yesterday morning. One hatched during the day yesterday and another over night

Humidity is awful! Do you have a/c Jae?

No, it's not that common here and the price of power is quite steep so it would cost a lot to run it.

We talked to someone who had moved into a new subdivision where all the houses had heat pumps. Their power bills were about $1200 a month to heat their homes (and that would've just been to a minimally warm temperature, not the toasty temperature our house usually is with our fire going). So I hate to think how much cooling would cost.

It's only a couple of months out of the year generally that it's really humid so we just grin and bear it.

Wow, $1200 for any utility bill would be awful! Guess I'd be grinning & bearing it too :p
