The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning B! How are things up in the NW part of the state this morning?

Hey, isn't it about time you were on the road again? You've been home, what, 3 or 4 days now?

We have - or at least I have - a quiet period coming up. Ken has a visitation in Cody tonight, but I don’t have to go with him since there’s no traveling involved. Next week he has another “local” visitation, which I can also sit out. Local is in quotes because Riverton is a four hour drive one way, so he’ll shoot down there after lunch and then come home after the meeting. I expect to see him home around 1 or 2 am. We have a couple more days in Riverton for a totally different event, the Grand Master’s Winter Reunion, on the 18th - 20, then fly to Salt Lake for Utah’s Grand Lodge Jan 31- Feb 3. Then February gets busy again and it keeps up until he’s done, but not at the breakneck pace of the past fall and early winter.

Things are going well up here. Got my MRI results back....according to that I’m making it all up. <sigh> I had them mail the results to me when they sent it to my doctor, and have to make an appointment with him to “go over the results”. I can hardly wait. I guess during this lull in traveling would be a good time to set up my cardiology appointment. I’m only 5 months behind on getting that done.

deedee, the thing that truly astounds me is that she knows me better than perhaps even I do, and she still likes me. :idunno Perhaps love is really blind.

Either that or old habits are hard to break! :lau But then Ken always says, “I like me better when I’m with you” and after 50 years (yikes, getting close to 51) I think that’s pretty high praise!

They are very cute! and they grow so fast. I can see a big difference between the new ones and the two day older ones

They are so darned adorable! NO, Diane....NO NO NO!!

Chicks are scheduled for delivery in late May. We have a lot of work to do out there before they come, since the coop/run have been sitting empty for over a year.

I got my MRI results, my spine is a mess. Pretty torn up about it because i really need to give up heavy lifting. So how do i deal with feed?

Hmmmm, you don’t like your MRI results and I don’t like mine! Wanna trade? I’d rather expend my energy fighting a visible enemy than an invisible one that will be almost certainly dismissed by any doctor, and you didn’t want yours to come out so bad that you may have to rethink your entire life. I was honestly hoping that something would show up so I could get on the road to relief. I’m so sorry that yours looks that bad. I still can’t figure out why the CT scans showed so many issues and yet the final synopsis on the MRI was “no significant findings shown” or some such.

@Blooie, have you ever considered acupuncture ? I have a nephew who suffered from chronic pain after a major automobile accident. X rays, MRI's, whatever did not definitively indicate what the problem so the consensus was, "It must all be in his head." He eventually ended up at a acupuncturist who resolved the 'non existent' pain.
