The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Pretty heavy up here this morning and yesterday too, Debby. We have an Eastern Star luncheon today in Powell to honor the Grand Master (guess I'm just chopped liver) so I hope it clears up a bit by then. Took Ken almost 3 hours to get home from his meeting in Billings last night....I kept the phone by the bed in case he called if he had trouble. Times like that I hope he doesn't - not only does it mean he's safe but if he did call that would mean I'd have to go get him. I rarely drive anymore, so I'd be scared pooless if I had to drive in the dark, especially in winter.

I swear, if I get the old, "You really need to join Star" speech one more time I'm going to pull every hair out of the head of the one who's telling me that!! I have made it crystal clear that I have never wanted to join, will never want to join, and have no intention of changing my mind! I am NOT Eastern Star material...I don't like organized meetings, I don't like wearing dresses all the time, I don't like memorization, and given all that do they really think I'd be a good member? A good member gives all she has to the organization because she enjoys it. That ain't me.

I'm not bothered by the ones I can see as much as I am the ones I CAN'T see. Kinda like spiders!

Good morning Chopped Liver...um, I mean B :gig

Glad Ken made it home ok without you having to go rescue him. Winter driving any time, especially at night, isn't safe.

Some people just really enjoy belonging to groups like Star. Fitting in with a group isn't my natural fit either. Don't pull your pretty hair out Blooie, you fit in here just fine.

Spiders don't bother me, lizards, even snakes none of that bothers me. Bugs in general are tolerable (except those giant flying roaches in FL). Rodents? OMG  And that extends to hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs and even ferrets. No @#$%way!

I'm sooo far behind, but I thought that I'd quickly say hi :frow

Plumbing is almost done in the house. Front rooms have drywall. Attic insulation will be blown in next week! We're getting there!

Great progress on your house Michelle :thumbsup I know you're super busy but hope you'll share some pictures with us when you get the chance. When do you think you guys will be able to move in?

That’s near where I’m going in March! If you get the chance, maybe you could ask him how he likes it when he gets back. And if he’s not too busy, of course. I am sure he will be busy having a grand time. But I am going to Phoenix at the end of March for a concert and would love to know how he likes it or what sort of stuff he does out there. I need ideas aha I’ve already researched a lot and asked on the Arizona thread (and got some great suggestions) but I’d love to hear how the trip went anyway. And of course see some of those pictures. :D we are probably staying for a week and a half, maybe two. Definitely at least a week. So obviously we wouldn’t be staying in Phoenix the whole entire time. Thinking of maybe going to the Grand Canyon or to California or something and there’s a few museums near Phoenix I want to see and maybe a zoo but so far that’s kind of the extent of our plans. I better get planning, March is coming up fast

Looks pretty nice where he’s at. He said it’s beautiful. Picture’s say so too.

It's very pretty this time of year. We are getting some decent rain, temps have been mild with just a few nights of freezing so far.

I hope everyone enjoys their visits!

Hey DMC, tell your DS if he wants to look like a native, he should go barefoot. From what I've learned chatting with IM, that's the only way to go
