The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Well, I found it on the inside of my cream cheese package and thought it sounded really good but it is slightly confusing. It does not mention how to split the sugar. Note it says to put it in both the crust and filling but doesn’t say how much. :barnie Idk, maybe I am missing something. I don’t bake very much.

And also, I don’t feel like going and buying bourbon atm but I may make it later, if I can figure it out aha

And the reason I posted it without any caption is because I took the picture on my phone but my phone has been wonky for a bit, making it hard to type or do anything (keeps bouncing between apps) so I wanted to at least upload the picture then add the caption on the tablet. :D

Use the 1/4 Cup of sugar in the graham cracker crust. The 1 Cup goes in the filling.

That's not a lot of bourbon, I don't think it's necessary.

I’m afraid I didn’t even notice the 1/4 cup sugar part!! Only saw the 1 cup sugar listed. Whoops  that makes a lot more sense. :lau thanks!

And that’s true!! Maybe I could make it without it. Figured it was supposed to add flavor or something but I’m sure I wouldn’t even notice. I think I will make it then :D

Well, that recipe won't work for me....I don't do the Organic, Non-GMO, preservative-high-fructose-corn-syrup-sodium-fatfree stuff. I like to eat. I like to be able to afford to eat. And all of those bad things are why I still look so good at 120 years old.
Naw, it's the dimples! :p:gig

I normally don’t either but I happened to buy this particular cream cheese the other day and it’s pretty good (though I’m not convinced it’s as good as the regular Philadelphia I usually buy) so the recipe is suggesting all their stuff. The company name is Organic Valley which is why it’s listed so much, much like Kraft and other companies list all their products in recipes too. I don’t think I will use all of their products for it, too expensive. In fact, I kinda wanna try getting the Philadelphia one too and seeing if they have a cheesecake recipe, maybe make both and compare or something. Definitely not fat free though with heavy whipping cream, butter, and regular cream cheese :p
