Do you suppose that's because we're shrinking and our legs aren't as long?

Well, doctor says that I am shrinking, but I think it has to do with muscle tone in my legs and general overall physical condition. :old I get very angry with my body when it is no longer able to do what I think it should. :lau Then I look at others my age (those still alive) and say to myself, "Quit b*tching, boy and plod onwards."

Well, I still wear the same size blue jeans so inseam hasn't changed, but they say I am 1.5" shorter than I was 40 years ago when I started with this clinic.

I've been hearing a lot of similar comments from DH since starting the house project. Sure have heard a lot of what he could have done 10 years ago. It's like he's been betrayed by his own bod and it makes him angry.

Since I'm older than him, I just smile and nod in agreement.

Seems weird doesn't it?

One thing you should be glad for is that you're still wearing the same size jeans...that's worth a big :woot

And wind...we could do without some of that too!
We had a wind squall go through around noon. Bad news for the back yard fence,I'm afraid. Hubs had it built when he built the house in about '96 so suprising it lasted this long.:hmm

Slowly, deliberately, patiently I can still do most things - paying a high price the next day with pain. I mean I've been pretty good to my body this past 27 years. Okay so the first 51 weren't so good, but I have achieved redemption. The Princess, too, is starting to slow down a bit. I don't like that either.

@Bamabexchicks, can't like that. Termite damage to the posts or just rot ?
Just rot. The guy that did the fence cut a lot of corners: untreated lumber, not enough concrete, cheap nails, etc. Larry's building a fence around our pool that would pass OSHA'S requirements. Just brought home a pallet of dog ear slats for the pool, guess it's going to the backyard now. Neighbor that shares the fence has predatory dogs. So it's not optional.
