We've been in an extreme cold warning for 2 weeks now. Schools are pretty much vacant as the buses aren't running. -31c right now. It's supposed to last until Monday. :th
On a positive note, the cold has been so bad that scientists are saying that the Mountain pine beetles have been decimated.

Hi Michelle, good to hear from you! Sorry about all that awful cold but wiping out the beetles is a good deal :thumbsup
 
The plane finally took off about 10:40 or just before and we got here around maybe 12:30, 12:40ish local time (1:30 EST) and then we had to wait for our bag (we were dumb and checked one, had 2 carry ons, the checked one barely had anything in it. Probably should have only taken the carry on, waiting was annoying. But that’s okay. Now we can buy stuff at the mall. :D then we were waiting for a hotel shuttle but it never came so finally after like 10, 20 mins we just took a taxi. Airport is only half a mile away from hotel. Then of course I wasn’t really tired when I got here LOL so I didn’t get to sleep till around 2:20, 2:30 (3:30 our time) so I was pretty exhausted. Slept until just before 11 though, which is 12pm/noon our time, so I had a good sleep lol we are a little bit slow moving though, still finishing breakfast/lunch in the room, now noon their time. But we will get moving soon. Thinking we are going to go to the mall today. Mall of America. And we will have a nice say today. Lots of frustrations yesterday between the delayed flight, waiting for a shuttle that never came (despite them saying it did), waiting for the bag, getting here so late, etc. etc. BUT we will not let it affect today and am making it a good day. :D And now I feel rested and energized and ready to check out the mall. My mom on the other hand didn’t really sleep, would sleep for a bit but kept waking up she says, while I was out like a light the entire time lol but she has been drinking some coffee and Coke (not together) and will drink some more coffee and probably be fine.
 
Snowing pretty hard right now. Minnesota weather I guess.

They said it’s hurting the ash borers here also due to the extreme cold. It won’t kill them all though.
