Today was an exciting day, as both of my 28 week old Mille Fleur D’Uccle bantam hens laid for the first time today.
So tiny and cute! They look like fairy eggs compared to my standard hen eggs!

Rosco was brave jumping up into the nesting boxes
Pretty sure she wanted to peck his eyes out!

She let him get that far? All of mine scream up a storm if any other hen even looks in the box they are occupying.

The cats don’t seem to bother the chickens. They get the stink eye once in a while though. My girls don’t screech they just fight over the boxes. Only one of my chickens is a pill and will bite if I reach under her for eggs and she’s my Buff Orpington. I’m sure she would peck them.
