The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Yayyy!!! It’s done! Well, almost. The side frames are still up because when I got the screws out and started working on the caulk so the frames would would release, I got a nasty surprise. As I pulled the frame away from the wall at the top the stupid paper wall they used in these old mobile homes started coming off with it. <sigh> So the screws went back in and the caulk was scraped off around them and replaced. We’re sticking with it for now. Ken’s talking about getting an inexpensive tub surround and replacing the ugly walls with that. Yeah, like that’ll ever happen! Nothing so permanent in our household as something that we’re just going to go with “temporarily”.

But it sure looks better!

Very nice B! :clap

I have lights & running water!! :wee

Congratulations! :thumbsup

we had the same problem with the most gosh ugly wall paper in the bathroom here, since the tub was a gold yellow, we ended up painting the wallpaper yellow, it made the whole bathroom really cheerful and larger looking

That’s a great idea! I thought about it but I don’t know the first thing about doing it. What kind of paint would stick to that high water area, on papery walls (that typical old mobile home stuff) and what did you do for prep? This could work, and I’m excited to think about it. Talk, woman!!!

Yayyyy!!!!

I aim to please:lol:

There is a manual button to turn it on or off.

Nice job. Should feel less tight now. Hubby patched our tub floor again yesterday. Last patch didn’t hold. I know he doesn’t want to go through the nightmare of replacing it but am afraid we are going to have to...on a 4 year old tub.

Woohoo!!:celebrate
They don't make tubs like they used to!
