The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Went to Walmart earlier, around like 6 or 7, and got a bunch more trays and a couple other kinds of potting soil, gonna try a bunch of different kinds I think, but then I got too exhausted to plant lol second day in a row. It’s been so nice out that I don’t want to stay inside to plant so I go outside and do a bunch and figure I’ll plant in the evening/once it’s dark but then I do so much outside I get myself all tired and can’t plant anything :lau yesterday was all the digging, today I went for a long walk with my mom, as well as did some stuff outside. Oh well, tomorrow I will make it a point to plant. I did at least get the table where they are going all set up. At least that’s something. Might go to bed early tonight. I’m really tired. I went to bed fairly early last night too and slept pretty well but still tired. And I didn’t sleep so well this morning, woke up a couple times and feel back asleep, so maybe that is it. Or maybe I am just sore. I think I have to work tomorrow since I decided not to go to AZ but I haven’t asked FSIL yet. But I did see her Thursday and told her I wasn’t going and could work this week and I think she said she did want me to but need to make sure. Should be able to hopefully plant afterwards.

The older one is starting to nibble everything. It has just little spots of pearling that have appeared today and some solid looking grey feathers. They've spent a lot of time inside today (to keep them away from their father until I can get a cage set up as I realised all our perches had ended up at my parents place where we are storing a lot of stuff). It's the back of their heads that have been plucked a bit - I wondered yesterday as they looked a bit inflamed there. Hopefully a few days parted (by bars) from his precious Hawkmoth will calm his hormones a bit.

Jae they are so stinkin' cute - how can you stand it? You put so much love, care, experience into each one- I hope you charge enough.

They are serious time wasters! I just want to snuggle them and cluck over them all day! They are super cute and sweet at the moment. I love the way the older one nibbles on anything it can reach. They are adorable stress relievers. I think they are a big reason I'm not stressed out and going crazy at the moment (only 9 more sleeps to go - DS is counting down the days).

Chilly was put in his cage and Hawkmoth has spent the last hour stoically eating and feeding these 2 demanding little things (even though they never once complained to us while we were looking after them). Chilly will feed them if Hawkmoth is but then he starts over preening them! He's been desperate to help Hawkmoth and I've put him where he is close to his family. I just hope he forgets about plucking them. :fl
