My best friends husband is the postmaster in town. As soon as chicks are in he’s calling and telling people to come get them.

So much for spring...supposedly may get to triple digits here today.their calling it a mini heatwave, there's nothing 'mini' about 100°F, then it's going to turn cooler for the next few days.it's already 84°F @ 11:00am

My tomatoes i planted from seed are pushing against the plant light! I had to take a bumpy squash plant outside and plant it because it was hogging all the light! Just wish i could boost my energy level.

when moving some plants to the greenhouse from the back porch i noticed i have a tiny little tomato and a bunch more blooms, will drive me crazy watching it til its ripe

It is a burden even when it is people you love. I had my Aunt live with us for 6 months. She was my favorite relative of her age group, but the dementia nearly drove me nuts. Then a while later we had to move back to FL to help my parents. Dad died the day our moving truck came. We lived with Mom for a year until we couldn't stand it any more. Brother was mad about us putting her in a home, but i don't see him even sending her a card for her birthday. I think the worst part of caring for dementia patients is not getting a rest from it.

yes,for many years she "loaned" money to nephews, both brothers, they were suppose to pay her back, i don't know if the nephews did or not but i know the brothers didn't, she kept calling and they would promise to pay just as soon as ----------, you can fill in the blanks but it never happened and the oldest brother passed away three years ago and shirley will never see a penny , brothers wife sure won't pay it, the other brother doesn't want anything to do with her since she doesn't have anymore money. husband and i will have to support her when her social security runs out(what she saved, nursing home takes it now) not fair but then who said life if fair?

Yeah, there are always exceptions. I had the heart ache of opening a box of juvenile quail that USPS handled. Shipped Tuesday, arrived Saturday. One male quail managed to live. The rest were a heap of carcasses.

I'm hearing horrible stories about a snow bomb hitting up north. Not sure where, but hope everyone is out of it's path.

Yep, that is how it works in my town and how DW does it at her PO. Of course they can't call until the critters come in.

Sad! I have a hard time going into stores that sell chicks as some places don’t care for them very well and there’s usually dead chicks. I have to stop myself from ripping into someone.

x2 but not quail, for me it was blue partridge brahma's, one was still alive, barely, ten minutes it was dead too but yet i've also had good luck with chicks from hatcheries

It's very windy here and that's making our temps somewhere in the ugly-miserable stage. It's been blowing snow but doesn't seem to accumulate, it just blows through
