The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

:hugs:hugsi know how hard that is, lost mine in the hospital, i was the night shift to help watch him to make sure he didn't try to get up and fall, he had fallen months earlier, broke the collar bone, wouldn't let them try to set it, tried to let it heal on its on, it didn't, bone came thru and he almost bled to death, he didn't have a choice this time, they set it this time, but he was too weak to survive

I need a bigger bin!

Condolences to all who have lost loved ones. I count myself among that number. My Dad died after open heart surgery, and i didn't get to see him because we were moving to FL to help my parents.
:hugsouch, that was a tough one.

I suppose in some ways, my dad passed in an "easier" way (if there is such a thing). The last time I saw him was a few months before he died and he told me it was going to happen soon. His heart had been repaired so many times, there wasn't anything for the doctors to work with any more. He was ready, living at home and enjoying things to the final day when it happened in the blink of an eye.

That was 2010 and I still think about him every day. My dad was an amazing man. I'm glad he didn't suffer for months as some of you had to watch your family members. Condolences to you all for your losses :hugs

yes, but but altho i was with him in the hospital, he didn't know who i was
we all have to go thru losing them, some sooner than others, my parents were older when i was born and i was happy to have them for as long as i did
