I was out transferring pheasants around last night. My Bianchi pheasants are crazier than bat guano...anyway, one of the hens flushed straight up from under my feet as I was reaching down to grab her...she 'boinked' right into my eye with considerable velocity. I thought it was almost about to 'knock me out' :lol: she didn't fair much better, knocked her senseless, too! I thought she had broken her neck for few moments but she regained her senses pretty quick. She was blinded by the flash light and all I saw was stars! :lau

Yep. I've had them delivered to the PO early in the morning and picked them up before the PO opened. The clerks call as soon as they get in and hear the chicks, they REALLY don't want to listen to unhappy chicks peeping non stop for hours on end. Plus, if they understand what is in the box and how fragile they are, they want you to get them to their new home ASAP. And I've had them delivered right to the house later in the day when they didn't make the early morning plane so miss the truck to the PO.


Some people don't realize what all the PO ships. DW has taken in live birds (not day olds) and tropical fish for shipment elsewhere. And duck wing tips in their special envelopes, some sort of requirement from the state fish and game. And rocks that went to Scotland. Don't know why, you
