I don't remember what's in them, but you float them on standing water and it kills the eggs.

Thanks, Bob. Did a google search on it, and apparently it is some sort of bacterium that kills mosquito larvae before they pupate.
 
Reading that link, sounds like it would be safe around the chickens? Walking into their run is like going into enemy territory.

I've never had issues with my flock from it, or my dogs. I've been using it for years. 10+
 
These are the photos I wanted to share yesterday...the North Platte River going over the banks.

I was parked on the overlook to the course here...this is water on a golf cart path

Water on the wrong side of the fence, it was almost level with the road

Thankfully, other than the standing water that's on the course, most of the rest of the overflow has receded today.

I couldn't afford it, even if it does work. I am the blood type mosquitoes love and also the universal donor. Just have to stay inside till winter comes, I guess. I've had skin cancer, don't know if that disqualifies me.
