what kind?Hey, why else would they prefer me over hubby?
You are sweet Cap, I jest. Never had a s'more... sound yummy... but I am a dark chocolate fan...Hi Debby! Thanks! Not a s’more fan...just the Hershey's chocolate bar for me![]()
California Valley.Congratulations Cap,what kind?
I have 3 of those hatched about a week ago.You are sweet Cap, I jest.
Are the hatching quail the ones that lay celadon eggs?
I'll have to show that to DD1. She makes origami "things" sometimes with money. I doubt she's seen that though. And look at this! Four seasons of doing this job and this is the first time I've ever received a shirt & tie for a tip

Dang Sean, you talk like a guy that doesn't have a bum leg. Take it easy on that poor limb.2 20ft trailer loads of limbs is all I could do this morning.
Almost there blooieWhew! I think I’m caught up. Switched out formals in the garment bag so other than my jammies and meds, I was packed. Montana’s Grand Lodge isn’t too far away...it’s up in Billings but we’re staying up there rather than driving the 2 hours back and forth to change clothes and catch a couple of hours of sleep at night. The Public Grand Opening and introduction of dignitaries (like us!) begins at 8 am and that’s dressy. Then the lunch and ladies’ tour is casual, followed by the Grand Master’s banquet, which is tux and formals. No way we can drive back and forth for that.
I can’t believe that this is our last out-of-state Grand Lodge of Ken’s year! We still have a few things left on the calendar......the Cornerstone Ceremony for the State Capitol Building in Cheyenne is on the 10th, and since we have an event in Wheatland a couple of days later we’re just staying down there for three days. Then the Rocky Mountain Conference is 4 days in Denver the 18-21. There are two cornerstones on the same day down in a Basin on August 3 , but that’s just 35 miles or so, and then the next big event is our Grand Lodge August 10-13. Then I can take off this darned Lee Press-on Smile and get back to being me. I miss me!
I’m just taking a quick break from things today. The ladies are all heading for an outing and luncheon at Montana Zoo, and that’s way too much walking for me. I’m determined not to be in my walker during our Grand Lodge in August so I’m babying these legs until then. My wheelchair has been out in the garage gathering dust for the last few years and by golly it’s staying out there if I have to crawl between now and then!
The rededication and Cornerstone ceremony for Tri-Mountain View Lodge was Wednesday evening, and it was wonderful. That’s Ken’s home Lodge - he transferred there right after we moved here in ‘97 and has been the Master there 3 times and was Secretary for 7 years. So being the officiating Grand Master for the @100th anniversary was quite an honor. Tam came to support her dad too.

(And yes, I know my Grand Master’s Lady pin is sideways....now. <sigh>)
@sharron, any relief yet? Makes me hurt to think about it! And you can whine and complain all you want about hurting right here! As my sweet, wise sister Linda said when I felt guilty complaining about my legs, knowing everything she was enduring, “My pain issues don’t negate yours. It’s not about a competition, it’s about compassion.”
@perchie.girl, I’m just beyond delighted with how things have gone for you! I know it’s been hard, but I’ve “known” you for 5 years and I know that this is the culmination of a dream. So proud of you!!
I’m just wrung out at this point but I’m happy. The girls had an awesome time with all the family - mine and Jenny’s - when we were back in South Dakota. Kendra got to shoot a bow, go fishing, learned and loved the turkey calling, Katie made yarn and shot a gun...all new adventures for them.

all of us understand pain, we didn't get to this age without any.
