I wish I had that power! We haven’t had to water the garden at all. We had 3 meals of peas. They got too big on us. I’ve never seen pea plants so tall or so many pods. My onions are huge too. It will be interesting what the fall has in store for all of us.You COULD share!!
Of course we had too much in the spring, not as bad as you but enough to put off garden planting until mid June. I just planted peas yesterday, fall crop. It was too wet to even think about planting them in April or early May.
Only 13 more days for me, Debby, so I’m closer to being done with the job!
Got home about 10 minutes ago from a strange breakfast. The owner/editor of the local paper called Ken last night and asked if we could meet him for breakfast at the Brandin’ Iron this morning. It was the only time he could meet us there because he had to go to Cody later in the morning. It turned into an interview that lasted over an hour and a half. David had first wanted to interview Ken when he was installed as Grand Master, but decided it made more sense to interview at the end of his year to go over his accomplishments, travel, high and low moments, and “why Masonry?”. David and Ken have been good friends (and Lodge Brothers) since 1996, so he will add to this interview what he already knows about Ken. I kinda sat there just eating my eggs and ham, but every so often David would ask me a question, too. Can’t wait until the paper comes out Thursday. If we’re back from Lander Wednesday before the store closes, I can pick up an early copy.
Okay, off to get cleaned up. Got a haircut this morning because I hate that “just cut” look and want it to lose that before GL. Catch you all later!
i get to rest tomorrow if i want, went out this morning, picked beans, brought them in, snapped them, laid them aside, cooked dinner, ate, cleaned up then canned them, got 7 quarts, not bad for an old biddie if i do say so myself, waiting for them to cook now, then will take them off, let cool and mark them and put them away![]()
Thats just flying by Debby!
Did he hire her?A 9.5 hour day...I must be getting soft. Or spoiled with the 6 hour days
Hope you'll share at least some (if not all) of that newspaper story B! Wow, only 13 more days...that's practically a blink of the eye compared to what you've already done.
I think 7 quarts of beans is good Sharron! They'll be nice to have this winter.
I guess that depends on which side of the oven you're standing onDH is trying to talk me into working in the pro shop after the restaurant closes...the gal that started 2. months ago is driving him bonkers. I get it! She never stops talking and can't seem to remember what her job is. But still, I was kind of looking forward to being done in September (not mid-October). We'll have to see what happens
