The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning! Yes, I’m late. No, I don’t care! Got a total of 7 giant totes and one short, long tote full of stuff for the GL hauled over the mountain and safely tucked inside our friend Jim’s garage yesterday. It was pretty cool and dark in there when we stacked it. Then last night he called. The little AC unit he has in there conked out. “Didn’t Diane say some of those totes had chocolate in them?” Oh, crap!!! I stupidly didn’t mark the totes with the contents - I’ll know which is which, right? - and he asked if it was okay if he went through them to bring the ones with chocolate indoors. I know that 2 totes were full of already-made-up ladies’ gift bags. 60 of them. And the third was full of M&Ms, Rice Krispie treats, Hershey’s miniatures, and Werthers. Peachy! Of course it’s alright to go through them, Jim! He called back to say that some were a little soft but he thinks he brought them in in time. THINKS?

Okay, I’ve got this! Breathe, breathe.....

Then I tried on the formal I wanted to wear. You know that sandwich bread that’s sliced square? Yeah, well trying on that dress was like putting a round piece of bologna on that square bread - some parts didn’t go all the way to the edges and others hung over the side. Oh, well, Chiffon pants to the rescue!

We leave in 8 days! GL starts in 9. We’re done in 11. Guest list for the Grand Master’s formal banquet is up to 91. That event is invitation only for Grand Lodge Officers and spouses, visiting dignitaries, and the heads of appendant bodies. The rest of the masses will be at Tom’s Deputy Grand Master’s picnic. I think Ken said the total count for all registered guests is up to 189. Holy smokes!! I suppose it’s too late to back out now, right? Breathe, breathe......
You got this Blooie!

Okay, at this point if it was going to get done, it’s done. All that’s left is to fill the welcome bags for the registered Masons and the visiting dignitaries. Tam, Jen, Katie and I will do that Saturday night in the hotel. Ken’s going over my final layout for the formal banquet seating chart.

We have the cornerstones in Basin tomorrow, and the overnighter to Cheyenne the 7-8.

Couldn’t have done it without you! :love
