Young buck ate all my rare hosta to the roots. Didn't touch the common stuff. IF they manage to grow back next year will put up deer fencing or something. The next door neighbors were pulling chairs up to my fence so they could be entertained. They have a dog so deer don't come into their yard.

Thanks Sharron, not really worried about rain - I am pre-shrunk. But worried about lightning in a open field. Read about it so much in the newspapers, folks having picnics, folks at the beach or sport fields.

didn't think about lightning dd, growning up saw alot of lightning bad lightning, if we were in a boat we could see the storm coming and ran for shore til it passed, and in florida it always passed

Good morning all! TGIF! Working at the day are today. Yesterday the toilets were plugged...I wasn’t there, thank goodness.
One of the guys I used to clean for is having an Estate sale today and through the weekend. I have been waiting for this forever it seems. I’m so bummed I have to work. His house is the one I want for a bed and breakfast.

husband caught what was eating my garden yesterday, i thought it was a deer but it was a fat fat groundhog, i hate to have to do what we did but can't have him or her eating my garden

we have several does and even a four point buck, normally they only eat me beans but this groundhog ate the tops out of a lot of my beans, everytime i planted new rows, i was lucky to get any up big enough to start vining up my fence
i guess if times were bad i could invite him to supper, head guest but not that hungry yet

I don't have to work today because of the annual high school track meet. Not going to be sorry to miss that crazy event! Son and I are going to run errands in town so when Tuesday rolls around we can get up and go.

That was so nice of you to say Bob. I'm a lucky person to have a kid like him (not such a kid now, but always to me).

We spent a lot of time last night looking over his latest paintings. He's a watercolorist and every time I see them, he just keeps getting better! I'll try to get some photos later of a few to share. He even painted a couple of small ones for me of....chickens of course!

I guess you haven't managed to break through one of the tunnels yet. The garden isn't the only thing they destroy.
