That's funny! Well, not funny that you have to deal with them, but funny for me to even imagine!

Can you get a small yappy dog that might just bark them away, maybe the DW wouldn't be afraid of? I'm glad they don't mess with your chickens though.

And bantam chickens are alot less intimidating, although some can be much more b**chy! But they can't do damage, even if they do attack.

Ah, i can't be pandering to DW's phobias of anything thats not a human being. Anything freaks her out (mostly me). Bantams would make very good hawk feed here - larger birds are slightly less appealing, but the hawks do try now and again. Any dog sends her running for the hills (maybe i should get 2?

Good morning! Got a lot to do today - we have to leave for Gillette shortly. Ken's got meetings again so that means packing and a drive up and over the mountains and another 2 hours after that. Then I get to sit in the lobby with the other ladies who got stuck going or sit in the hotel room all evening, eat a bad banquet meal, then go back to the room. In the morning I get to eat breakfast, then check us out of the room by 11:00, go to another bad luncheon, then wait in the lobby with the other dummies (who couldn't find an excuse to stay home either) while they conclude. So once again I'll be in blue jeans while he's in his tux.

Yeah.....I love my life!

This is why he has to let me take my annual cruise! It's the only thing I do that doesn't include grandkids, doctors or Masonry. It's my "one week" of pampering and lounging and loafing, and I want it!!

Hey, Anti-Monkey Butt Powder is a real blessing on those "rough" days!

But at this point, being put down would almost be a blessing. I'm so pooped. And well-wishing neighbors trying to "help" are doing me in. How can I get anything done if after almost 3 years they decide now is the perfect time to get acquainted and chat?

Hi WV - sounds like a good plan for a Saturday - particularly if the weather is grim. Nothing we can do with them legally, but not that i would want to harm them. I went outside with my catapult and they scarpered (not far away, i grant you). They don't bother the chickens, its when they start throwing roofing tiles off the roof that i get cheesed off - costs a lot to get a roofer to come and repair the damage! 

Need to get a dog i think (DW would really love that, since she's scared of the chickens - never mind a German Shepherd)

Yeah funny they come out now....

DH told a couple of the guys that since he wouldn't be able to take his tools, they could get them before we left. Apparently, they thought that meant NOW. This morning I wanted to cut a branch off a tree for the goats to snack on...no loppers or hand clippers to be found. I had to resort to a machete (which made for a scary sight I'm sure). Other stuff is gone. Heaven forbid I have to have anything fixed on the house when the VA inspector comes around for the buyers because almost all the tools are already gone. I didn't even know it until a bit ago.

A couple of days ago, one of the women we slightly know came inside to "help" me sort stuff. No she didn't...she wanted to know "Can I have this? Can I have that?" over and over.

The padlock is back on the gate...not letting anyone else in until I'm ready to drive out of here. Sheesh, the give-me-that's around here.
