It would be? Well I guess you are allowed to have your own opinion:D:frow
One of the ways yoiu can clear that land is by running Goats and Cattle on it. They work in conjunction to remove the smaller forage... And the goats if left to their own devices will girdle the trees.

Once a tree is girdled it pretty much dies. If you have a truck access to a Steel wheel off a tractor you can pretty much pull them out of the ground. this will get the roots so tilling is a bit easier.

this video shows a man using a plain old car tire. IF he had let some of the air out of the tire his job would have been much easier... Gives a place for the chain to rest ... You can use this technique for pulling fence posts as well.

20 mule Team first hitch of a new reproduction of the borax wagons its a playlist if you are interested... Takes you through the process of building the wagons...

Sparrows 40 team Belgian hitch

Deb, in 1969 Dale Robertson succeeded Robert Taylor as host of Death Valley Days. In the intro clip it has the camera in the driver's seat showing the driver throwing the reins over the head of one of the mules and directing that one mule to step left out of line with the rest of the team. I once heard how and why that was done but have long forgotten. Do you know?

ITs called Jumping the Chain. and allows the team to turn corners.... The two right up against the wagon are the team that actually steers or turns the wagon wheels.

Best I can do is show a video on that...

Looks like that could turn into a real mess if you're not on your toes.
yep ... alot of times the mule skinner will ride one of the wheelers. Team that stears... and direct the rest from there. There will be a couple of break men on the wagons to operate the breaks...

77 thousand pounds of oar would be death to all those mules coming down the mountain
