The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Haha, I think you're right! Mother nature is losing her marbs. Well, if we can believe the groundhog than we should be good. I read the other day that he's about 37% accurate :D
That sounds about right compared to what I read. I always wondered why the direction he's facing when he comes out isn't considered. He's certainly not going to see his shadow if he comes out facing tge sun. But hey, what do I know?

I know how you feel Sour apart from shower, shave, I also do shampoo. - Don't need novacaine for cavities - extractions - Yes. Even had teeth prepped for crowns without. But the dentist I have now has an itchy trigger finger. Before I can get comfy in the chair, he's spearing me.

Makes me really ticked off. He gives extra big doses of novcaine, he is worried it will wear off and his patients will scream. He gave me so much for no reason, that when I got home and tried to make next appt. with the bus dispatcher- He couldn't understand my words. Had to wait till it wore off and call again.

That's a major reason for no novacaine. When the dentist drills or works on me - when he is finished it is done. If he uses novacaine it can take a long time to wear off. I'm not a rugged person, I just "direct pain elsewhere." I send it to my little toe. I know it sounds ridiculous but it really works.

I know people in other cultures that do the same. But then I am not affraid of dentists just the BILL- oy!!

Hey, I even took a shower and shaved, and it's not Saturday yet. :p

You have to understand that all dolled up means a clean flannel shirt and blue jeans.

Shower and shave = spiffy
Clean shirt and jeans = dolled up

I think you might have to take the Princess out while you're looking good!

I do love the smell of good, rich dirt, and playing in the garden is so relaxing for me. The food is a nice benefit, and cutting pretty flowers to put on the table too. I can't grow impatiens here, I kill them every time!

I was laid off from my job, this is my last month, so I'm hoping the garden will supplement our food budget a bit during summer and that we can put up some tomato sauce and salsa this year. We're going to expand and add a full sun area next month.
impatiens don't like sun and they drink lots and lots of water,, i had one double pink impatien momma gave me, kept it going for over 40 years but one year, gd let it die while we were down here, that something i can never get back i do have one lily left that she had, sister had given it to gd, she had it in my green house last year, come fall i took it into the house before the first frost, told gd i was keeping it, she didn't care. i have no idea how large my garden is, just know lots of weeding to do to keep up but i even enjoy that, its nice and quite out there
think i'm going to buy a new greenhouse when we get back, the one i'm using is seen better days, its over thirty years old and home made, husband and fil built it for mil
