The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I've always had flowers, love them the best of all. Even when I was a little kid, mom & dad used to let me grow them in their garden. But I just can't do them here and miss them. I really need to move. That's a good reason to move right? So I can have flowers :D
can't think of a better reason except for the cold and snow:lau

i would prefer to work with animals, birds or garden but we don't always get a choice so i helped husband run the business i did the scheduling , answered the phone, typed the bill, paid incoming bills ordered the materials and last, figured out taxes and paid them every quarter but those days are over thank goodness now i can do what i like and its doesn't seem like work :)
Yep, I do all that...and the chief cook and dishwasher! :gigif you love what you do! ....it isn't work!

Are you saying George doesn't pull his weight around there? He needs to get to work
:lau he's so over weight he couldn't pull his own weight if he wanted....but I still love him! :love he's kinda like some of my birds...free loader! :gig

Yep, me too! The deer eat my garden's up every year, so I don't have a garden anymore...and I don't feel like putting up a "deer proof" fence around it. They don't bother my flowers, so they are numerous around my pens and the house. :)
Cosmos, Mexican Sunflowers, Marigolds, Zinnia's, Nasturtium's, Sweet Peas, etc, etc, etc!
sounds good to me, i have some flowers in the garden marigolds, different colors and sizes of blooms sunflowers, zinnias, poppies whatever is a companion plant to veggies, i also plant basil close to the cucumbers my deer only want to eat the beans, they prefer the apples, its the ground hogs that go thru my garden trying to eat everything, husband has to trap and put down, usually a couple every summer

Yep, our pets are free loaders but they are sure worth it!

Oh wow, look at all of those little grapefruit trees!

You do need a bigger greenhouse :)
yep, i already bought one for next year, just didn't want to take this one down and put the new one up, its a little larger and has more shelves

When I first moved here, the deer weren't a problem but several years later, the neighbors started feeding them and the population exploded...they would eat everything to the ground, even tomato plants. SMH

Some of the neighbors do the same thing, the population is down a bit but still too many deer.
