The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning everyone. Going to the Amish market for some necessities and to TSC to pick up some more feed - then to the beagle club. Insanity has hit NJ. Our major grocery store here has perhaps 20 checkout stations plus a half dozen self check outs. Folks are saying that it has taken them more than an hour to check out. Just try to find a parking space, and then this - someone had a cart full of checked out groceries, turned around to interact with someone, and someone else stole their food. :barnie

Wow!

deb, i go on ebay and look for decon, (its not the same name but works the same way} comes in little pouches and does the trick like decon used to
forgot to add, we don't like the tomcat
Unfortunately I already ordered and paid for Tomcat on amazon. And Decon has the same ingredient. according to the Eco site it says use indoors. I have no issues finding dead rats and disposing of them Or living with Decomp. My last house had roof rats I used decon pellets and they died all throughout the ceiling. I got immune to the smell. Made my own bait stations too.

But I did find the one I wanted and will order that. Its based on Corn cob... and is Eco friendly Called Rat X... I found an eco website that listed both RatX and Tomcat
So I am happy to get both. Rat X takes some finesse to get them to take the bait but I am up for the challenge if I don't poison a Raptor or Coyote. They loose their interest in drinking water as the pellet swells in their stomach. They go and die in their nests.

You have to add an attractant to help it call in the rats. Peanut oil is what has been talked about in review.

They say to keep away from pets. I can see why its a pellet and contains fish oil in large quantities it would be fatal to a cat or dog or chicken. So if you are going to use it around the coop definitely use bait stations that only a mouse or rat can get into.
