The parents you aren't hearing back from, I hope they're working with their kids and not slacking off. It's hard for kids to catch up if they get behind.

I've been baking too. Yesterday it was 3 pizza doughs (we baked 2 of them last night), and a loaf of sandwich bread, today it was a double batch of p-nut butter chocolate chip cookies. I'll meet you at the end of the driveway and we can race up and down together (but 6' apart) :gig

Your right about weeding 😩 it's never done . We put shredded paper down and it helps, but weeds don't give up.

I hope they are working with the children as well, but I fear some are not 😞.Next year will be starting from scratch for everyone.

I love baking as it's relaxing for me, but I will just take a small break and do more next week. I did freeze some of everything, that way it last longer.. The chocolate chip. cookies will last until next week, so then I'll be ready to make more sweet stuff. Our driveway is tough-it's 400 feet over a quarter mile long and it goes up 😩 Some days I'm fine with it, but others 😱 I think it's going to kill me 😂

I hope you can work in the garden and have some nice weather today. You took some of the plants you started in FL back home with you, didn't you? How have they adjusted?

It's a chilly 35* here this morning. We're supposed to get rain this afternoon, turning into snow tonight. This time of year though, it shouldn't amount to much.

Have you ever tried putting cardboard down in the garden? I could do that in our FL garden and it helped for between the rows, but you're right...weeds don't give up. I'm a good weed grower :lol:

What's your weather looking like?

Totally understand that🤔 when the kids lived here, it was not an issue.

we did in the big garden before and I think we did in this one in the beginning. The shredder paper worked good last year for us and we have lots of junk mail.
Rain and winds today :( we are in the 50s
