Our CIO shop had to lay off 40 folks Friday, thankfully I was not one. Financial pressure for the company because so many of our on-site support customers are closed. There's no decrease in workload but rather an increase. Add to it that we're all taking a mandatory PTO day every other Friday.

On the up side, we have a not for profit organization, within the company, to support employees in times of emergency. They are issuing grants to those employees who have been furloughed because their office/site is closed and they can't work remotely. Our CEO and most of his Executive leadership team are donating their entire paychecks to that fund to keep it viable.

Here I am having to some crazy things to keep Instructors up for online teaching...and we were told that our pay raise was cancelled for this year.

They should be giving us a bonus since online teaching is keeping the University going at the moment

Does the course exist primarily for the benefit of oil workers? One would HOPE that the course would be self supporting, not relying on oil profits to stay afloat. If not, it isn't a very well run business.

5 chicks so far. 3 are yellow like they're supposed to be. This batch (26 eggs) has 20 sold. I don't know what I'm going to do if there's not enough decent ones. I've got an order for 50 that is supposed to hatch next week... fingers crossed that I get a lot of pure chanties.

I baked banana bread this morning, made the menu for the week, went grocery shopping and now have an angel food cake in the oven.

Dinner is BBQ baby back ribs

Pizza for me is work since I make it myself

Laundry! I still have to put sheets on the bed too.
