The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

That's a whole lot of cupcakes to keep stored. You need a 2nd fridge!
There’s one in our shop. I’ll have to clean it first as it’s dirty! That’s the guys beer fridge. Hubby says there’s room.
So this happened yesterday...we took my car in to have tires rotated, an oil change and I needed new wipers.

We went back to pick it up and all they had done were the tires. No oil change, no new wipers. We have to go back again later today to pick it up, hopefully everything is done this time.

Is this just a Wyoming thing or has everyone decided a 1/2 done job is good enough?
Every time we go we tell them not to put wiper fluid in. I purposely filled it one time before I went and they put .99 cents worth in. I was ticked.
Good morning everyone 😊 have a great Tuesday

Good morning IM :frow
Oh my goodness, that's a little scary 😱 but sure feels possible at this point

Good morning DMC :frow enjoy your day

Good morning Debby :frowenjoy your day
Hi Sue, you also!
I think I've decided on paint colors. Castle wall grey and white on white. I'm leery of going with dark cabinets but a brighter wall would counteract that I think.
Post a picture when it’s done.

DH & I are headed out soon...need to take my car in to have tires rotated and oil change. Then tomorrow we take DH's truck in for the same treatment.
Given all the maintenance stuff DH can do I'm surprised you take the time and pay someone to do those.

(I'm not sure Blooie would even eat a Kit Kat! Non-chocoholics confuse me.)
I'm pretty darn sure she would not. Blooie is very much not a chocolate fan.

The limit is for the number of trucks....The mexican food trucks took up the limit and no one else can get one. The Show shack truck owner wanted to open a second one on the other side of Woodland and had to get an exception
I'm sure everyone wants to get back to work but it would be nice if people had options other than Mexican. Maybe not everyone is a fan ;) Just how many food trucks are there? Can't be too hard to spread them around the city for "social distancing". People will find their favorite truck if it can't park in its usual spot.

Me too, I like being home. Unfortunately no one will drive my groceries all the way out here, pick up my mail from the post office and then change my car's oil & rotate my tires.
You need a person assistant. Of course if you never leave the house you'll likely turn into Jabba the Hutt.

There was a fire at the next county over this weekend. It is under control now and people going back home. 100 homes were threatened from that fire. Next Door said there was one south of us so that move it down wind of us.
And the season starts :( I sure hope it is a lot less damaging this year.

Nothing wrong with going back to bed 😉
True, I do it every night around 10:30.

The tacos are amazing!! They top them with a lightly seasoned cole slaw type thing with a rice vinegar dressing
About as authentic Mexican food as Taco Bell!

It's a half mile trip (round trip) to the mail box over 400' of elevation. So go down 400' over a quarter mile and then walk back up the 400' over a quarter mile. And it's 97* out there right now.
Nice exercise, not great weather for it!!!

I would love to have groceries delivered. I hate grocery shopping.
I'm not fond of it either but I'd rather not have someone picking out my fresh food and deciding if what I want isn't available what, if anything, they should get instead.

Okay folks, we've had something really dangerous happen
 Wow really scary, I'm glad there was minimal damage it could have been so much worse. Maybe you can get one of those metal hanging plant posts to hang the chimney on until it is cool.

Is this just a Wyoming thing or has everyone decided a 1/2 done job is good enough?
Shouldn't be good enough anywhere! Did you just happen to notice the oil change wasn't on the service sheet? And no charge for wiper refills? Those are something you wouldn't even notice until it rained while you are driving. Do you even know that they DID rotate the tires? Sounds like another good reason to do it yourself :D

Did you call them on it and did you find somewhere else to go that is perhaps more honest?

They put $2 worth in yesterday after hubby told them not to fill it. We had a coupon for a free oil change. She didn’t charge us for the fluid when she saw the coupon. I would have said something if she tried. We like this place. We’ve bought most of our vehicles there. I don’t know if the mechanic is getting told. We could do our own oil change but the warranty is voided if you don’t go thru them.

Because of everything else DH is doing, he doesn't have the time (or the energy) to do the car stuff too. The new wipers and the oil change weren't on the bill when we went to pay before taking the car home yesterday. Everything is done now!

Wasn't intended to be authentic Mexican food. And believe me, taco bell is not my choice either! Fortunately we have taco shops here.

Sean and I were reminiscing a while ago... I miss the little trailer on the way into Medina AB... That was real tex mex. btw, I'm not a huge mex fan, I like tex mex. and a whole bunch of other south/central american cuisines.

So the weather man said we had rain coming and me the nice person I am (haha) said I'll go take care of the birds. It starts sprinkling as I head out and I make it to the barn, barely 😲 the sky opens up and I'm stuck waiting for it to slow down. Finally get the upper pasture done and collect eggs while it's still sprinkling a bit. Mind you it was a fairly nice morning until the rain :( now it's hotter than blazes and the humidity is horrible.

Hope everyone has a nice afternoon 😁

Vehicle manufacturer's warranty? If so, no it is not voided if you don't pay the dealer to do the service. You just have to have receipts showing you bought the parts if you do it yourself or a service sheet from a mechanic who did the work.
