The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I am at the Ent for pre OP screening. They are going to take out my ear tube. I want another one, this one lasted 4 years!
Didn't sleep much last night, but the day before I basically slept all day after those hornet stings and Benadryl. I destroyed the nest in the brooder, and will deal with the other one tonight.

I let our ducks out of their pen this morning. It is not a nice day weather-wise (cold, strong wind and frequent showers) but they were making such a muddy mess of their run. We will have to trim their wings very soon but they were very happy to get out and explore. They loved paddling in the drain which is full of running water at the moment. I saw them going for a bit of a wander just before but they haven't gone too far from their house. The chickens on the other hand are hiding in their coop (because of the weather).

I'm thankful our ducks like to eat slaters. Not sure what you guys call them, maybe a woodlouse - the grey oval bugs that like rotting wood (and our plastic letterbox for some reason ). The ducks eat them like lollies - the chickens ignore them. I think they are sick of eating them as there are millions of the things everywhere.

Hope everyone's had a good day. Enjoy that sunshine for me!
